US#3 Bingham girls have close call;
US #2 Mountain View boys win easily
Vale OR - Utah teams took their backyard rivalry to Oregon and dominated the meet. Mountain View UT won the boys race as expected and very nearly swept, as their girls team surprisingly came within 3 points of Bingham UT's third-rated girls team in the nation (The Harrier rankings)
Bingham star Laura Zeigle won in 18:35, but sister Jackie dropped to fourth and Mountain View, ranked US#13 in their own right, got three runners in at 5-6-9 to make it close, 40 to 45. Freshman Heidi Migall gave Mtn View a boost by finishing 6th.
There was no such suspense in the boys race as Mountain View 39 was a 43-point winner over Davis UT behind the great 1-2 senior punch of Chandler Goodwin 15:53 (1 second behind Josh Rohatinsky's course record from last year) and Dustin Bybee 15:58. US#13 Bingham was third with 100 points.
