JavFest
The 1st American JavFest will be held at the Penn Relays, with special events of interest to javelin throwers, coaches, and fans.� Here is the schedule.
Thursday 4/27�
10:00 am -Javelin Clinic at runway/indoor track w/ Tom Pukstys, Kari Ihalainen, Anders Borgstrom, Dr. Bob Sing and WR setters Bill Miller, Bud Held and Tom Petranoff.
12:00 noon - HS Girls Jav competition
1:30 pm - University Women Championship
3:00 pm - College Womens comp
5:00 pm - Learn by doing/ Javelin Games clinic
Friday 4/28
10:00 am - Throwing exhibition by Tom Pukstys with comments by Tom, myself, Kari, Anders and any of the attending WR setters.
12:00 noon - HS Boys Jav comp
3:00 pm - Women Oly Dev Jav comp; entries- Lynda Blutreich, Ann Crouse, Erika Wheeler, Nichole Carroll, Kristen Dunn, Vigdis Gudjonsdottir, Chris Stancliff, Heather Brown, Jen Pastore and Brooke Speers.
5:00 pm - Target Throw competition
Saturday 4/29
10:00 am - Mens Oly Dev Jav Comp; entries- Ty Sevin, Tom Petranoff, Breaux Greer, John Taylor, Mark Fletcher, Rich Destefano, Delyle Woods, Rob Austin, Mike Brown, Rob Woosley, Garrett Noel, Dave Masgay, Oscar Duncan, Rob Manning, Casey Pearce and Will Junius.
11:30 am - Mens Univ Champ Comp
12:30 pm - Mens College comp
3:00 pm - Special Award presentation to WR setters inside Franklin Field ; introduce "Honored guests" .
3:30 pm - Turbojav mens comp inside Franklin Field- Tom hopes for a new WR with this new Turbo.....which Tom ? Show up to find out.....
