Baton Rouge sr Fred Townsend, newly signed to attend South Carolina, was the star of the meet with an outstanding meet record triple: 6-8 HJ, 23-0.25 LJ, and 14.0 hurdles. The host Catholic boys won the team title with 147 points. Baton Rouge girls beat Southern Lab 138 to 119.5.
