Pennsylvania girls dominated this meet, with doubles by Sheena Gordon, McDowell PA soph, and Talise Manuel, Oliver PA sr. Gordon won high jump (5-7) and triple jump (37-1). Manuel picked off the 55 meter hurdles (8.52) and long jump (17-11). Another PA star, Ngozi Uzoaga, Pittsburgh sr, won the 55 meter dash by 0.01 over Tirana McDermott, Jamestown NY jr, in a swift 7.28. McDermott was also a close runnerup to Manuel in the hurdles. Kristin Price, Penn Trafford PA sr, won the 1600 meters in 5:08.31, the first of six girls finishing under 5:23.

Boys standouts included Chad Cutlip in high jump (6-8), Dave Kloeber in pole vault (14-9), and Scott Munro in the 1600 (4:21.76)
