AR STATE MEET - Russellville boys 28 (1 2 6 8 11 12) led by Chase and Travis Feltner. Details
AZ STATE MEET - Mountain Pointe sr Sally Meyerhoff 17:26 3.03m won her second state championship by 68 seconds, and led Mountain Pointe to the over all team championship. Sr Kevin Billington repeated as boys champion in 15:25.

CA North Bay League - Ukiah sr Amber Trotter 16:31 (2.97m) wins by 35 seconds over Jenny Aldridge, who is 54 seconds ahead of anyone else; Aldridge leads US#18 Maria Carrillo girls 39 (West #9 Montgomery Santa Rosa 42). Santa Rosa boys 52 (Ukiah 61, Montgomery 64) behind 2-3 so Eddy McFarlin and sr Niles Vandeventer, with Maria Carrillo sr Jordan Kinley 15:40 winning the race. Details
CA Hayward League - Arroyo jr Yong-Sung Leal won in 14:36 3m at Hayward HS, breaking the course record set in 1974 by Rich Kimball by 5 seconds.

FL DISTRICTS - Berkeley Prep sr Rolf Steier 14:26 3m and Christian Indian Rocks 8th grader Melissa Kotchman 17:49 head Florda District Top Times list. Details
GA Georgia State Meet - Lakeside-Dekalb sr Joe Thorne won 5A boys by 41 seconds in 15:49 5k on a hot, humid day that caused many dropouts on the hilly course. South#7 Brookwood was 5A boys champion. Georgia's ranked girls teams won in nearly identical fashion and girls named Brewer led the way for each. Michelle 19:39 and Jessica Brewer's 1-2 finish led South#4 Harrison to an easy 28 point score in 5A. Christy Brewer 19:41 led South #5 Marist 25 in 4A. Harrison had the edge in total team time, 101:38 to 102:59. Westminster swept 3A, the 10th straight year for the girls and 6th straight for the boys. Complete Results
IL STATE MEET - Deerfield sr Erika Odlaug made it 12 for 12 -- 12 races, 12 records -- by winning in 13:25 2.5m, 24 seconds faster than Maria Cicero's meet record set last year and 5 seconds faster than Erika's own Detweiler Park course record set earlier this season. Micah VanDenend, coming back from a broken leg a year ago, outkicked Stephen Pifer and Sam Romanowski in the last 200 meters to finish in 14:19 3m -- fastest of the day -- and lead Glenbard South 118 to the AA team title. KY STATE MEET - ailing Bobby Curtis (left) sets state record 15:06 5k at tough Kentucky Horse Park on warm day with soft footing. Curtis missed a several days of training recently because of a flu bug. Curtis ran 14:58 at this course during the season, but Kentucky only recognizes state meet marks as state records. MA For the 4th straight week, Phillips Andover sr Melissa Donais set a course record when she ran 18:01 3.1m on her home course in a dual meet. This took 7 seconds off her own record set October 20.
MI Michigan State Meet - US#3 Rockford girls 76 win behind Nikki Bohnsack's 17:40.3 5k, 28 seconds better than Shannon Stanley, avenging Bohnsack's only loss of the season. Caledonia sr Tim Ross 15:04 is fastest boy of day (Novi sr Tim Moore 15:11) and 8th fastest 5k in the country this season. Detroit Catholic Central boys win 4A with 186 points (US#8 Milford 205). MN STATE MEET
- Soph Ladia Albertson 14:18 4k and 8th grader Bria Wetsch 14:29 broke away after favorite Shannon Bergstedt collapsed at 2.25 miles. Hopkins sweeps AA team titles. Details, top times and photo
MO Missouri State Meet
-Adam Perkins beats Marc Tegenkamp in battle of juniors, 15:59.8 to 16:11. - Complete Results
MS STATE MEET - Pearl boys, unbeaten in MS for 2 years, three-peat in 4A with 6 runners in the top 12 for 30 points. Jake Raines, East Central, won in state record 15:27. Julia Cathcart, Starkville, 11:36 was the fastest girl of the day. There were three team sweeps: Ponotoc 3A, Tupelo 5A, and St. Andrews 2A, making 8 straight for the St. Andrews girls.
NC STATE MEET 4A/3A -North Mecklenburg boys ended one of greatest NC seasons ever. Mt. Tabor runners broke the boys and girls meet records. jr Matt Debole 15:02 broke Ricky Brookshire's state meet record (1999). sr Carly Mathews 17:44 broke meet record held by Casey McGraw (1999). Asheville sr Milos Mitric 15:11 broke the 3A meet record. Complete Results.

NM STATE MEET - Gallup sr Felicia Guliford's 19:11 5k was fastest of the day by 54 seconds in this high altitude venue as she led her team to its 6th straight 5A title to finish the season undefeated. Another streak was continued by Albuquerque Academy boys (4 straight 4A titles, 2 undefeated seasons in 3 years).
NV Nevada State Meet -Chris Clauson, Christa Avena are fastest of the day. Galena boys, Carson girls win 4A. Lowry sweeps 3A. Nikki Peterson leads Faith Lutheran to 17 point score in 2A. Complete results and photos
NY New York sectionals - Saratoga sweeps Section 2, with US#1 girls scoring 21 points (1-7-9-10-14-16-17) to top Colonie 55, Columbia 95, Shaker 104, and Bethlehem 134. Saratoga's 8th grader Nicole Blood 17:26 5k led the way, and Colonie soph Eryka Perrault also cracked 18 minutes with a runner-up time of 17:58. The first 9 girls were sophomores or younger. Section 3 girls set meet records in three divisions: Fayetteville-Manlius sr Laurel Burdick 17:56 5k, Homer sr Tracey Brauksieck 18:08, and Beaver River soph Lauren Moser 18:50. OH Ohio State Meet
- US #24 Hudson boys topple US#3 LaSalle Cincinnati, 61-78. Turpin Cincinnati girls 77 (Davidson Hilliard 148). Allen Bader 15:07 5k over Wesley Smith by 0.2 - "What a race!" said a spectator. OR STATE MEEET - Klamath Union aces Lauren Jesperson and Jacob Gomez are 1-2 in state, both timed in 15:29 5k, but Bend won the war, 100-118, on a 56-point swing in the 5th runners. PA Pennsylvania State Meet - N. Allegheny sr Stephanie Madia 19:04 5k runs down Council Rock soph sensation Jessica Cickay at the wire by half a second. Cickay's US#11 team finishes 9th to Allentown Central Catholic 143 (North Penn 169). US#19 Cedar Cliff boys 87 win AAA. Baldwin sr Dan Mazzocco 16:03 is fastest of the the day (Andy Weilacher 16:05). Cickay was treated at Hershey hospital for heat exhaustion after her race. Details
RI STATE MEET - US#21 Bishop Hendricken poured in 5 of the top 9 runners to win the boys race with 26 points. North Kingston sr Lindsay Vieira 19:19 5k led her team to the girls title with 48 points. St. Raphael sr Garrett Vaslet 16:29 was the boys individual winner. Complete results
TN Tennessee State Meet - Andy Baksa 15:03 leads US #7 Farragut to AAA title. Houston girls dominate AAA with 7 girls in the top 15 for a score of 25, tieing the state record for low score. TX Texas regionals - US#1 Kingwood boys win Huntsville region with 54 points; US#12 Kingwood girls 30 (5 of top 10). Marcus sweeps Lubbock region both teams scoring 40 points (girls are US#25). US#18 The Woodlands boys 53 in Arlington region. Fastest of the four regions were Allen sr Valerie Lauver 11:02 and Austin El Paso sr Frank Lozano 15:11. More highlights.
VA 37th Virginia Independent Schools State Meet - Boys race won impressively by Kippy Keino, Fork Union Military Academy (yes, a grandson of THAT Kip Keino) in 16:27 5k on hot, windy day over tough Woodberry Forest course. St. Mary's 21 dominated the girls race. Story
