Christal Cuadra, PAC-5, Hawaii senior, will travel to the mainland for the Foot Locker West regional at Mt. SAC December 1 for another crack at Amber Trotter. Cuadra was ill when she ran second to Trotter in the Iolani Invitational. Christal is coached by her dad, Greg, an ultra marathoner.

AL 2-time Texas 3A champion Tyler Stanfield, who moved to Alabama when his dad, Ray, took the Samford University coaching job in Birmingham, is still undefeated in his new state after beating defending Alabama 5A champion Scott Fuqua by 15 seconds.
AR Russellville boys finish regular season unbeaten with 19 point victory (1-2-3-5-8) in Conway Inv.

AR Mountie Classic -
The 1-2 finish of Jamie Owensby 15:49 4k and Jessie Barnes 16:00 powered Bentonville's Arkansas #1 ranked girls to victory with 31 points (Fayetteville 52). Boys race was won by Fayetteville 40 (Rogers 43) led by Tylor Harlon 16:18 5k. Details

FL Ryan Deak ran 14:53 4.85k for a course record in the Panhandle Championships, Marianna FL.
FL Top 15 All-State rankings by flrunners.com are topped by undefeated Kara Scanlin and a 3-way blanket finish of Ryan Deak, Rolf Steier, and Steve Hassan. Top teams are Gulliver Prep boys and Lady of Lourdes girls. Rankings
IL Pat Quinn, Wheaton St. Francis, broke the Lombard IL course record by 37 seconds with his Class A regional win in 14:53 3.05m.
IL Deerfield sr Erika Odlaug planned to run the last mile in 5:10 and she hit 5:08 to win the Prospect Regional by 50 seconds in 13:20 2.5 miles. Next up is the sectional, where Odlaug will face soccer star Lori King, who beat Odlaug throughout the state meet series last year.

MA Catholic Memorial Inv - Patrick Morasse 16:11 5k leads Lowell 30 to Division 1 boys title. Nashua NH 40 wins girls Division 1. Best individual times: David Burnham, Mohawk Trail 16:09 and Catie Markesich, Weymouth 18:43. Details
MI Rockford girls blitz the OK Red Conference with 18 points (1-2-4-5-6-8-9), led by Nikki Bohnsack 17:52 5k.

sr Heidi Lane, a 2-time state champion, was as good as the anticipation. The winner is: Zoe Nelson, surging in the last 20 yards to win by 2 seconds in 17:29 3m, with both well under the old state record (17:45). Details
NJ Haddonfield moves into tie with Old Bridge in Conrad's New Jersey rankings after Eastern States score.
NE Omaha Benson boys 37 (3-5-6-11-12) easily overcame a 1-2-4-9 start by Kearney when Kearney had to wait for 73rd position for its fifth. Soph Colby Wissel, Kearney, won Class A impressively in 15:50 5k over the hilly Kearney CC course. Class A girls team winner was Lincoln Southeast 76, but fastest girl of the day was so Elizabeth Lange, Lincoln Pius X 14:58.4 4k. Details
NY Boys Rankings -- Saratoga boys move into tie for first with Greece Athena. NY Sportswriters poll
OH Davidson Hilliard OH swept both team and individual honors in its district meet. Boys 19 (26-second spread), Alan Burkitt 15:40 5k and Alex Bailey 15:51 1-2,
girls 25 (13-second spread), Alicia Myers 18:48.

OH Cincinnati rivals LaSalle and St. Xavier won separate divisions of the Cincinnati District championships. Alan Bader 15:31 5k led LaSalle 25.
OK It's 4 state championships in a row for Plainview seniors Jesse Gordon and Patrick McGuire. It is believed to be the first time that a girl and boy from the same school have won four state titles. Small School state Meet
OK Large School regionals: Erik Hurst, Shawnee 16:00, and Danielle Zanotti, Mustang 11:35 are fastest. Details

VA Kelly Swain 17:56 2.98m won her second straight Patriot District title to lead Robinson girls to a 54-61 win over W. Springfield. West Springfield returned the favor in the boys race behind Jeff Day. It was three straight Swain victories in this meet, since older sister Erin won 2 years ago. Details
VA Liberty and Concorde Districts -- Oakton stars Keira Carlstrom 17:45 2.98m and Phil Gaeta 15:11 look sharp. Details
WA Enumclaw sr Alison Tubbs overcame a back injury and confusion on the course to win the 4A West Central/Southwest Bi-District 10/24 in 17:45 5k, 10 seconds
ahead of Olympia sr Jessie McLaughlin. The heavily favored Tubbs had not run for 6 days since her league championship (17:51 5k) because of a back injury. In addition, she made a wrong turn and had to backtrack during the race. Tubbs said her back injury is not a big deal, but she told the South Country Journal she has only been running in the pool, and is "taking shots and stuff like that." Even though off this year's standard, Tubbs was more than a minute faster than in this meet a year ago. In the boys race, Auburn sr Chris Lukezic won by 26 seconds in 15:11 5k.

WV State Meet preview -
classic matchup pits Keith Rand, Morgantown, returning from stress fracture, against favored Tyler DeVault, East Fairmont.
WY Campbell County boys 22 (1-2-5-6-8) and Tony Bachmann 16:18.4, breaking the course record of the Camels' 1998 state champion, Morgan McLeland, who was killed in a traffic accident last month. Details
