Date: Leave to Fresno 12/5 (Fri) at 12:15, SHARP!
Race on 12/6 (1st race at 8:00 am)
Return on 12/6 around 3:00 (home between 6:00-6:30)
Where: Woodard Park, Fresno

What's Up: Six of us are going (Tom, Darren, Matt C, Ivana, Stephanie C
& myself. We leave Lynbrook at 12:15 sharp (pack a lunch), head
over to Wilcox to pick up 2 of their runners (they're bringing 8 guys & 5
gals) and then hit the road to Fresno from the Wilcox parking lot by 12:30.
It takes about 3 hours to get there. We'll take a quick stop in Los Banos
(half way) to stretch our legs (there's a 7/11 there). We head straight to
the course (Woodard Park) so we can jog over it (3.1 miles). We then will go
to the motel (Ramada Inn) to change and clean up. Then off to the race
headquarters downtown to pick up our race numbers and find out what times our
races are (some races have two heats). We then hit the infamous Pizza & Pipes
for some serious carbo loading and bonding (yes, we CAN bond with Wilcox, it's
OK). Then back to the motel so you all can do whatever you all are supposed
to do the night before a BIG race (how about a video?).
The next day dawns with the coaches race at 8:00, Fresh girls (Steph & Ivana)
at 8:30, Soph Boys (Matt) at 9:55 or 10:20, Junior Boys (Tom) at 11:15 or
11:40, Senior Boys at 12:35 or 1:00 and then the two qualifying races for the
Nationals (we're not in those) at 1:45 (Girls) and 2:30 (Boys). This is the
race that Lynbrook Alum Jason Balkman won in '94. We then head back for San
Jose, with a quick stop in Los Banos, and back to Wilcox between 6:00-6:30 and
back to Lynbrook some 15 minutes later.
