To follow (approx.11: 45??) A. In the LJ/TJ There will be a boys pit and a girl s pit. The long jump will begin at 8:00(new time) and the Triple jump will follow (approx 11:45?). The Boys will jump in front of the visiting grandstands. The girls in the pit near the home grandstands. Athletes will jump in flights by school (3 schools per flight)(12 jumpers). Each jumper will have 4 jumps. If jumper scratches or you only have 3 jumpers, those marks that are legal will be added for the team score. We will jump in a 12 alive system. Each Jumper will be allowed no more than 1 minute to make their approach. Each on Deck and in the hole jumper must be ready to jump. We will be moving both jumps along very quickly. There will be a second Jump official approximately 100 feet from the Jump boards who will monitor those jumpers that will be competing B. ***There will be a Maximum 10-minute warm up period between flights. *** If less time is needed we will move along faster. C. Run through will be limited to 1 per individual. The track will not be used till 11:00 and we will have a tape and Board set on the track for run troughs. Also the sand pit on the adjacent end of the pits will be open for pop ups D.Athletes in other events must take advantage of the 10-minute time frame between flights, as no other run-throughs will be provided during the competition. Athletes having to leave the pit to go to another event will be given all jumps upon a timely return. Remember if these athletes need a run-through they may do so on the track before 11:00 and whenever the track is open. (Ex during distance races) . F. Opposite end sand pit will be open for pop-ups during competition. You may use this area even if your flight is not up. G. Coaches must remain in the stands (behind fences) for these events!! H. Running/Jogging warm up area outside stadium on softball fields. After the start of the running events. Shoot at the North end of the track will also be available for warm up. ***We will try to stay on the following approximate time schedule if we can move along faster we will. Girls Shot, Boys Disc 10:00. 2 throwing area s In the S.P./D.T. The girls Shot/Boys Disc will begin at 10:00 and the Girls Discus/Boys shot will follow (approx 12:00?). Athletes will throw in flights by school (3 schools per flight)(12 throwers) and each thrower will have 4 attempts. If you only have 3 throwers, those marks that are legal will be added for the team score. (we will use the 12 alive system to throw) A. Throwing Areas 1. Inside the track (south end near 1500/300H start.) Enter track near start of 1500/300H. 4. Outside track (inside stadium closer to bathrooms and martin Ave.) B. ***There will be a 10-minute warm up period between flights. *** C. No more time will be allotted even if athletes are in other events. (We must move event along) D. Other warm ups may be done on the softball fields outside the stadium. F. Coaches must remain in the stands (behind fences) for these events!! G. Running/Jogging warm up area outside stadium on softball fields. IV.Check in: Before your flight only. Not at the beginning of the competition. If you are in the 4th flight there is no need to check in or do run through / pop ups/scales unless your flight is up next. Runways/rings reserved for those athletes competing in the competition 6. Remember in all field events each team should have four entrants. The best mark of each entrant will be used to compute the total team mark. Should 1 of your athletes foul or you don t have four athletes the remaining athletes scores will comprise the teams score. Important Coaches Information 1. Clerk of the course; A. All teams will be entered and should report to the Clerking Area. (Fenced in area with benches/Black roll out runway near start line.) B. Athletes must wait in this area till the clerk escorts them onto the track. 1. Relay teams must be complete in clerking area with accept ion of athletes involved in field events. 2. Athletes will be given lane assignments (which may have been reseeded from program) and instructions in the clerking area. 3. It is assumed all teams are entered in all relays. Clerk will reseed heats at the line if needed. 2. Coaches meeting (New) : A. We will need 1 rep from each team in the Clerking area (near start line) at 10:00 to discuss meet format and possible scratches for early reseed of relays B. 3.Results: Results will be posted on the ticket shed at the Fan entrance to the stadium. All results will be posted as soon as they become official. 4. AWARDS: AWARDS MAY BE PICKED UP BY COACHES ONLY AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE MEET 4.Spikes: track requires 3/16-inch spikes anything bigger and you will trip. 5. Locker rooms: there will be no locker rooms available, but bathrooms will be open. A. Extra Bathrooms will be available about 400 meters away on the main campus 6.Spectator fee: There will be a ($5.00) charge for all spectators over the age of 10. 7.Athletes Gate: All athletes/ coaches must enter the stadium at the north end of the track, near the J.V. girls Softball Diamond. Just keep walking past the spectator entrance along the soccer field and you ll run into it!! 8.Parking: will be in the student@ faculty parking lots and on the street.
