National Boys:
5/30 Update: No new scores from top team Desert Vista (AZ) this past week. With 8317 points and ahead by 205 points, this team will remain strong unless another newcomer can come in and take over. Warren Centrals’(IN) De’Sean Turner bettered his own mark of 4:13.63 in the 1600m to edge this team closer to top contender Desert Vista.
5/24 Update: No new marks from Desert Vista (AZ) this past week, but still remain strong at number one with a 217 point lead on Warren Central (IN). Warren Central (IN) remains strong in the number two spot nationally and add a few points to their total with marks this past week from Matthew Webster in the discus (161’9”) and Mark Harsley in the shot put (51’6”).
5/16 Update: Desert Vista (AZ) has a strong week coming out of the state meet. Allante Battle only improves his 100m time to 10.64 to win state (as well as winning state in the 200m and 400m!) and Chris Conway runs state meet fourth place finish 4:23.38 in the 1600m to help the team cause. Shea Kearney also had a great state meet showing with a mark of 16’4.75” in the pole vault to win. With this team up by over 300 points, they will be a hard one to beat. Warren Central (IN) improves their team score with improvements from De’Sean Turner in the 3200m (9:07.62) and Jeffery Williams in the long jump (22’4.5”. Warren Central is 130 points ahead of the tied up third place teams of Lee’s Summit North and The Woodlands – both at 7908 points. Let’s see how that competition plays out.
5/9 Update: Desert Vista is still the reigning team in the nation. With new weekly marks from Chris Conway of 4:25.07 in the 1600m and Shea Kearney’s 16’3” pole vault, this team continues to climb. Warren Central is in a solid second place with a new few marks this past week from Brad Ellington running 48.2 in the 400m and Mark Harsley’s shot put mark of 50’3.5”. The Woodlands is still in third place with their state meet completed but we have not seen an updated mark in awhile, so look for some improvement here.
5/2 Update: Desert Vista still remains the top dog here. This team just continues to improve with marks from Steven Figueroa in the discus of 168’4.5” in the discus and 60’0.25” in the shot and Mychal Hammonds in the high jump with a mark of 6’4”. Another nice mark from distance runner, Chris Conway, of 4:26.21 in the 1600m helps the cause.
Newcomer Warren Central (IN) comes in and edges out powerhouse The Woodlands TX out of the second spot here. D’Juan Richardson’s 14.24 mark in the 110m hurdles and Devin Pipkin’s 10.69 100m mark gives this team a boost. Derrick Spight’s high jump mark of 6’9” is pretty special, as well as De’Sean’s Turner’s 4:14.5 (1600m) and 9:22.3 (3200m) marks help this team’s score tremendously too.
4/25 Update: Desert Vista continues its dominance with better marks in the field events this week, while The Woodlands remain 2nd with no changes. See the regional report for more details.
4/18Update: Strong all around performances have Desert Vista AZ in the lead, with Allante Battle pacing the 100m and 400m running 10.87 and 49.03 respectively as well as a team best in the long jump of 22’4”. Good distance marks from Matt Boughton in the 1600 (4:26.3) and 3200 (9:29.90) and good field events make this a team hard to beat.
Alex Neff brings The Woodlands TX onto solid ground with his 1600m mark of 4:15.83 and 3200m mark of 9:03.00. Sprint and hurdle marks are hard to beat from this team with marks from Brian Schmitt (10.89 in the 100m), Adam Hayes (51.02 in the 400m) and Terak Haider (15.13 in the 110m hurdles)
National Girls:
5/30 Update: No new marks from any of the top teams nationally. Texas A&M Consolidated (TX) stays strong by only 43 points over DeSoto (TX).
5/24 Update: This just goes to show you that any team, even after the season ends, can come in with their top marks and do well. Newcomer and NWN winner from last year, Texas A&M Consolidated (TX), is rock solid across the board with great marks from senior Kirsten Harris in the 100m (11.72), junior Whitney Harris in the 400m (54.92), sophomore Keri Wood in the 1600m (5:03.09) and Anabelle Evertt in the 3200m (11:04.07). DeSoto (TX) stays strong nationally but drops to second place this week after another fellow Texas state team takes over.
5/16 Update: Division 5A Texas State champions, DeSoto (TX) continues to pour it on with new marks from Gayla Cloud in the 100m hurdles (13.95) – good for a second place finish at state, Richelle Ray in the long jump (16’10.25”) and Skylar White in the discus (158’4”) and shot put (45’8”) – good for first place finishes in both events. This team has some balance and pulls ahead of Kingwood and Murrieta Valley who did not have any new marks this past week. No new marks from second place Kingwood (TX) this week. Kristen Hanselka runs a 10:59.52 for second place at 5A Texas state meet, but does not improve upon her 10:56.89 set earlier this season.
5/9 Update: Newcomer DeSoto (TX) comes in and grabs the top spot from Kingwood (TX) by only 71 points. Gayla Cloud’s 14.06 110m hurdle effort along with Brittney Cain’s 11.97 100m mark and Skylar White’s 157’3” discus and 44’9” shot helps this team jump to the top of the country. Kingwood (TX) drops a notch to the number two spot nationally with no new marks this week from this team. Look for more good marks from these teams as the state meet is this weekend.
5/2 Update: Kingwood is still the king here among the girl’s team scores with 7707 points – a slight edge over Murrieta Valley’s 7600 tally. Hanselka continues to peak with her marks with new marks in the 1600m (5:00.12) and 3200m (10:49.55). Just a well-balanced team.
Murrieta Valley was dealt a blow this past week with the loss of their super star, Kelsey Rubeor, to a major knee injury where she will be out for six months. Her marks posted now will have to prevail for the rest of the season to keep this team strong in the rankings.
4/25 Update: Kristen Hanselka bettered her 1600m with a 5:00.12 mark to help raise the score of Kingwood TX.
For Murietta, Kelsey Rubeor is the all-star of this squad with five of the top marks for this team from the 100m Hurdle to the long jump, high jump, discus and shot put. It looks like Kelsey is going to make a fine heptathlete in college.
4/18Update: Kingwood TX jumps in as a newcomer this week, popping to the top spot in the nation edging Murrieta Valley. Kristen Hanselka has a strong 5:03.01 and a 10:56.89 and a solid 100m Hurdle by Kathryn Lupton with a time of 14.40. This team is solid across the board from the sprints to the throws. The team to beat!
Good all around marks, still, from Murietta CA. Strong in the distances with Taryn Pastoor running 5:06.89 and 10:58.9, and again a solid 100m Hurdle performance of 14.8 from Amber Middleton. Kelsey Rubeor throws the discus 121’5” and puts the shot 43’3” to help the cause.

Northeast Boys –
- 5/30 Update: Colts Neck (NJ) gets a few new marks this past week from Andrew Sobieski in the 400m (50.00) and Matt Sullivan in the 110m hurdle (14.66). Altoona (PA), a newcomer this week, comes in at number three regionally with leading marks from AJ Alexander in the 100m (10.64) and Troy Floyd in the 110m hurdle (14.93).
- 5/24 Update: Colt’s Neck (NJ) remains on top of this region although they have no new marks. McDowell (PA) takes over the number two spot trailing Colts Neck by only 55 points. Carl Kallgren (3200m-10:15.11), Emannuel Overare (long jump – 21’10.75”) and Chad Noce (discus-57’8.75”) all had new marks this past week to help the team cause.
- 5/16 Update: Wow! Colt’s Neck (NJ) pounces to the top of this region with a strong week to take over the number one spot by 436 points! This team posted all new marks (except for one) this past week. Craig Forys’ 4:13.88 1600m and 8:48.99 two mile are superb along with Matt Sullivan’s 14.77 110m hurdle mark and Andrew Sobieski’s 50.4 in the 400m.
- 5/09 Update: Monsignor Farrell still stays strong in this tight region with a few new marks this past week. Alex Orlando improves his 3200m mark to 10:04.72 and Sean Potter runs faster in the 110m hurdle (15.21) to help the cause.
- 5/02 Update: Monsignor Farrell holds a slight edge over newcomer McDowell (PA) with 7436 points. Matt Frawley’s 1 mile mark of 4:21.09 helps the cause of this team. Note: Newcomer McDowell (PA) moves into a strong second place nudging Don Bosco Prep from second to third.
- 4/25 Update: Monsignor Farrell (NY) continues to dominant this region with a 22 overall ranking leading the region by 200 points.
- 4/18Update: Monsignor Farrell (NY), newcomer this week, raised the bar in the NE with huge marks from Matt Frawley running 4:21.09 in the mile, Kyle Duggan vaulting 15’6” in the pole vault and Sean Potter in the 110m hurdle running 15.6.
Northeast Girls -
- 5/30 Update: It’s moving week this past week for the NE girls region. All top three teams added points this past week. Southern Regional (NJ) remains on top, while Colt’s Neck (NJ) jumped to the number two spot. Southern Regional’s Chelsea Cox ran a 57.57 to better her 400m time. Colt’s Neck Meryl Wimberly’s time of 57.57 in the 400m and Ashley Higginson’s mark of 4:50.14 in the 1600m helps this team to a number two spot this past week.
- 5/24 Update: Southern Regional (NJ) remains on top with 7591 points and no new marks this past week. The news of this region is Germantown Academy (PA) coming in strong to take over in the number two spot. New marks this past week from Tiana North in the 400m (60.3), Devon Blount in the 110m hurdle (14.90) and JD Whitman in the pole vault (10’3”).
- 5/16 Update: Southern Regional (NJ) remains on top of this region by 436 points with no new marks this past week. Colt’s Neck (NJ) is the story of this region taking over second place with 7155 points. With new marks from Ashley Higginson in the 1600m (4:55.21) and 3000m (9:37.92), Coach Schlentz’ team is rising.
- 5/09 Update: Southern Regional (NJ) gets a boost from Danielle Tauro in the 3000m with a 9:47.10 mark to stay 507 points ahead of second place Chambersburg (PA). Cherokee (NJ), a newcomer this week, comes in strong with a third place ranking with some solid marks.
- 5/02 Update: New Jersey is the state to beat here in this region! Southern Regional has another great week with a move from sixth nationally to fourth. Ashley Furlong bettered her pole vault mark to 12’0” and Brittany Knowles’ 110m hurdle mark of 14.8 helps too. I still say this team has some room to grow with better marks from Tauro – something we all know will come in time.
- 4/25 Update: Change in the action here with New Jersey teams dominating the top three spots. Southern Regional (NJ) takes over with a HUGE week that brings them to the top sixth spot in the nation from a 55th spot from last week. Super star Danielle Tauro’s fine marks of 5:03.2 in the 1600m and 11:09.1 in the 3200m helps as well as Ashley Furlong’s pole vault mark of 11’6”. Look for this team to continue its upward trend. Regional note – Jim Schlentz’ Colt’s Neck (NJ) team is making a move in this region as well. Keep an eye on this all around team.
- 4/18 Update: No changes in this region from last week. ND stays on top with strong performances from Kristen Mahon in the 400m with a 56.7 and a solid 5:39.6 1600m from Ashley Buxton.

Southeast Boys –
- 5/30 Update: Not a lot going on in this region with state meets behind them. McEachern (GA) remains strong. Are there any other teams that can come in and take over?
- 5/24 Update: No new changes in the top three in this region from last week. McEachern (GA) still holds a narrow lead over Amos P Godby (FL). None of the top three teams had any new marks to add to their scores with the state meets completed. Is there another new team that can come in and topple these strong teams?
- 5/16 Update: McEachern (GA) remains on top of this region with new marks this past week from Josh Tolliver in the long jump (22’11.75”) and Jarvis Tillman in the discus (151’3”).
- 5/09 Update: McEachern (GA) still on top of this strong region. Ben Hubers continues to impress with a sub 9:00 effort in the 3200m of 8:58.45. With this region winding down with state meets, we could see this region pretty static from here on out. But of course, it is still time for newcomers to come in and take a stand with any mark from the track season. That could make it exciting.
- 5/02 Update: McEachern is still on top in this region. Ben Hubers runs a spectacular time of 4:06.27 in the 1600m to help this team out this week to help put a little bit of space between them and the newcomer this week, Amos P Godby (FL). Still a tough region with the top three teams separated by 194 points.
- 4/25 Update: McEachern (GA) remains on top of this region where all top three teams are in the same order as last week, but with no new marks this week from McEachern, the competition creeps closer.
- 4/18 Update: No change in the top three ranking here but a few updates on all top three teams to raise their point total. McEachern, ranked fifth nationally, still holds the lead with 7713 points with strong performances from William Wynne in the 400m (46.72) and 110m hurdles (13.69). Ben Hubers is a star at the distances running 4:07.78 in the 1600m and 9:08.55 in the 3200.
Southeast Girls –
- 5/30 Update: Collins Hill (GA) still reigns strong here with no new marks this past week, but newcomer Lake Braddock (VA) this past week, pushes the issue jumping into the number two regional spot. Strong marks from Melanie Akwule in the 110m hurdle (14.94) and Michelle Presley in the 1600m (5:09.72) helps Lake Braddock’s cause.
- 5/24 Update: Collin’s Hill (GA) is still the top dog in this region by 714 points. The only thing that can topple this team at this stage in the season is for another new team to come in. Ana Ruiz threw the discus 118’11” to better her mark and to help the team this past week.
- 5/16 Update: Collins Hill (GA) remains strong in this region. The top two teams in this region, Collins Hill and TC Roberson (NC) had no new marks to add to their score from last week, but third place, Governor Thomas Johnson (MD) draw within fourteen points to TC Roberson with new marks this past week.
- 5/09 Update: Collins Hill (GA) remains on top here by over 600 points. The only thing that could spoil this teams’ strong number five national spot is for a new team to come in and take a stand in the rankings. Governor Thomas Johnson (MD) is a newcomer this week in this region bringing them into a solid number three spot.
- 5/02 Update: No changes in the rankings in this region. In fact, of the top three teams, TC Roberson (NC) was the only team that had a point change. Collins Hill (GA) remains strong at number three nationally.
- 4/25 Update: No change in the rankings for this region but all teams added a few points this week. For Collins Hill (GA), Okolo lowered her best mark over the 100 hurdles with a 14.25 mark and Drouin dropped her already fine mark in the mile to 4:56.15.
- 4/18 Update: No change in the region of rankings. Collins Hill (GA) stays on top with marks from Nicole Okolo in the 100m hurdle (14.32) and long jump (17’3”). Our first sub five-minute mile mark from these top teams shows up here with a great performance from Jackie Drouin with a 4:57.48 mark.

- 5/30 Update: Lee’s Summit North (MO) added a few points this past week from performances from Aaron Dixon in the 1600m (4:14.82), Darius Walker in the 110m hurdle (14.04) and Scott Betsher in the pole vault (15’3”).
- 5/24 Update: Lee’s Summit North (MO) still remains strong in this region with a solid lead and a new mark from Derek Atwood in the shot put (56’8.75”). Lee’s Summit West (MO) comes in strong this week with a good showing and a number three spot regionally. Strong marks from Bobby Carter in the long jump (23’4”), Cam Cundiff in the 1600m (4:27.04) and Hartzell Gray in the 100m (11.20) are the stand outs on this team.
- 5/16 Update: Lee’s Summit North (MO) remains on top in this region and jumps to the number three spot nationally with strong marks this past week. Stephen Seals runs a 10.92 100m to help this team’s cause this past week. All three top teams made moves this past week with new athlete marks.
- 5/09 Update: Wow – Number one regional Lee’s Summit (MO) had a huge week to catapult them from the number 18 spot nationally to the number four spot. Darius Walker stands strong in the sprints with a 10.96 100m, a 50.8 400m and a 14.39 110m hurdle with new weekly marks. Aaron Dixon helps the team with a new mark of 4:28.56 in the 1600m as well as Derek Atwood’s 159’9” discus and Kyle Wineinger’s 22’6.75” long jump
- 5/02 Update: No changes in the ranks here in this region. Lee’s Summit (MO) still reigns with good marks from Stephen Seals in the 100m (11.01) and 400m (52.6).
- 4/25 Update: Lee’s Summit North (MO) remains on top of this region with no new changes in the top three spots but all three teams adding a few new points to their totals. Lee’s Summit North’s Stephen Seals’ marks of 11.01 in the 100m and 52.6 in the 400m as well as Scott Betsher’s vault of 15’3” help the cause out a lot.
- 4/18 Update: Lee’s Summit North (MO) has the lead with 7382 points with strong performances from Darius Walker in the 110m hurdles with a mark of 14.39 and Scott Betsher vaulting 15’3”.
Heartland Girls -
- 5/30 Update: Yankton (SD) remains strong in this region with a few new marks from this past week to help the lead. Ashlea Johnson runs 12.51 in the 100m as well as jumps 16’10.5” and Christine Borders shot puts 37’5” and throws the discus 127’7” all this past week.
- 5/24 Update: All three teams advanced in the national rankings this past week, but the order remains the same – Yankton (SD) number one, Iowa City West (IA) number two and Saint Thomas Aquinas (KS) number three.
- 5/16 Update: Krista Creager runs a 1:01.56 400m, Kylie Robinson runs a 15.74 in the 100m hurdle , Caitlin Hof jumps 5’1” in the high jump and Kari Prickett throws the discus 124’10” to help Yankton (SD) stay on top of this region. St Thomas Aquinas (KS) is the newcomer this week to jump to the number three spot in this region.
- 09 Update: Yankton is the team to beat here with 7327 points and new marks this past week from Ashlea Johnson in the 100m (12.64), Betsy Bies in the 3200m (10:44.18) and Kylie Robinson in the 110m hurdle (16.00). With these new marks this week, Yankton stays in the number ten spot nationally. Sioux Falls Roosevelt (SD) is the newcomer in this week taking over in the number three spot regionally with 6832 points.
- 5/02 Update: Yankton rules here in this region with senior Betsy Bies improving her marks with a 4:55/94 in the 1600m and 10:04.86 in the 3000m as well as a better mark in the discus by Kari Prickett with a throw of 119’.0”.
- 4/25 Update: Yankton (SD) remains strong with no new changes in this region and with no new marks from any of the teams. Calling on more Heartland girls teams to join in the game!
- 4/18 Update: Yankton (SD) is strong here in first place. Solid performances all around makes this the team to beat with notable performances from Betsy Bies (2005 NTN overall winner) in the 1600m (5:07.0) and 3200m (10:52.45). Ashlea Johnson also excels with a 12.7 100 m run.

- 5/30 Update: Warren Central (IN) has one new mark to help their lead out this past week from De’Sean Turner in the 1600m (4:13.63).
- 5/24 Update: Warren Central (IN) is still tops in this region with a new marks from Jacob Aldrich in the pole vault (12’0”) and Mark Harsley in the shot put (51’6”) to help the lead. Cahokia (IL) and Wayne (OH) are the talk of this region moving up to the number two and three spot respectively. Cahokia’s Daren Donald’s 47.0 400m and Clyde Young’s 13.60 110m hurdle lead the team with their marks. Wayne’s Jordan McPherson’s is the star of this team leading in four events – the 100m (10.59), 110m hurdle (14.37), long jump (23’8.5”) and high jump (6’11”).
- 5/16 Update: It’s Warren Central (IN) again this week with a strong 534 point lead over second place Lanphier (IL). See the national report for more on this number two nationally ranked powerhouse team.
- 5/09 Update: Warren Central (IN) remains strong here in the number one spot regionally and the number two spot nationally. See the national report for more on this strong team. Lanphier (IL) keeps plugging away and rising in the ranks to a number two spot regionally and number 24 spot nationally. Major White’s 7’0.25” high jump mark is outstanding as well at Warnether Banks’ 10.6 100m mark.
- 5/02 Update: Warren Central (IN) continues to pour it on with better marks from this past week pushing them to a number two spot nationally and distancing themselves from Hononegah in the regional race. This past week, Devin Pipkin got faster in the 100m with a mark of 10.69, Derrick Spight jumped higher with a 6’9” high jump and Jeffrey Williams leaped to a better mark of 22’2” in the long jump. Look out!
- 4/25 Update: Newcomer Warren Central (IN) blows into this region with a top four spot nationally! De’Sean Turner’s marks of 4:14.5 in the 1600m and 9:22.3 in the 3200m as well as Brad Ellington’s 48.9 (400m), Devin Pipkin’s 10.72 (100m) and D’Juan Richardson’s 14.2 110m hurdle mark not to mention Derrick Spight’s high jump mark of 6’8” makes this a well-balanced tough, tough team.
- 4/18 Update: This is the most tightly contested region with the top three teams split by 46 points. Hononegah (IL) leaped to the lead with strong performances from Ryan Jacobs running 4:29.3 in the 1600m and 9:16.00 in the 3200m as well as Nic Haab in the 110m hurdle running 15.30.
Midwest Girls –
- 5/30 Update: Downers Grove South (IL) and E.L. Bowsher (OH), both newcomers this past week, come into the Midwest region and shake things up a bit. Downers Grove South (IL) comes in and grabs the lead with 7361 points and E.L. Bowsher (OH) jumps into the number three spot. Leading marks from Downers Grove South’s Egle Staisiunaite in the 110m hurdle (13.72), Nicole Thate in the 1600m (5:14.00) and Casey Harms in the 3200m (11:31.23) helps this team out.
- 5/24 Update: Westfield (IN) is tops of this region again this week. Felicia Strang long jumps 16’8.25” and Audrey Downs shot puts 34’2” to help the score this past week. Wayne (OH) is the story of this region taking the number two spot this past week. Janelle Avery’s 5:11.69 1600m and Olyvia Griffin’s mark of 12.42 in the 100m makes this team a tough one.
- 5/16 Update: Westfield (IN) stays ahead of this region in spite of no new marks and again, Defiance (OH) and Plainfield (IN) swap places again for the third straight week with new marks from both of these teams.
- 5/09 Update: Westfield (IN) is number one again this week going solid with 7240 points and 477 points ahead of second place regional team, Plainfield (IN). Westfield’s Kristina Krasich’s 5:02.39 1600m and Maggie Bingham’s 11:11.68 3200m new weekly marks helps this team jump two spots in the national race to the number 17 spot. In the second and third spots regionally, the race is tight with Plainfield (IN) and Defiance (OH) swapping spots for the second straight week.
- 5/02 Update: Westfield (IN) remains on top of this region and Defiance (OH) bunny-hopped over Plainfield (IN) to claim the number two spot for this week. There were no new marks from Westfield this past week.
- 4/25 Update: Westfield (IN) stays on top of this region with the top three staying the same as last week. Breanne Ehrman steps up this week to better the 400m mark from last week with 58.0 and Kristina Krasich’s new mark of 5:08.75 in the mile keeps this team strong.
- 4/18 Update: No changes here in rank and not much of a change in points. Westfield (IN) still leads with 6915 points. Kelsey Love helps the efforts with a 59.2 400m and Maggie Bingham does too with a solid 11:30.2 3200m run.

South Boys –
- 5/30 Update: No new changes and no new marks from this top three in this region. The Woodlands (TX) still stands tall. A few of these teams and athletes will be heading out the Great Southwest Classic this weekend, so hope to see a few new marks.
- 5/24 Update: No new marks to talk about this week from any of the top three teams. The Woodlands (TX) is still on top but slipping a bit in the national race.
- 5/16 Update: No new marks from any of these top three teams this past week. The Woodlands (TX) remains on top and is tied for third nationally. The only new marks that can come from these teams is some post season marks since the state meet was this past weekend.
- 5/09 Update: The Woodlands is on top of the region and still at the number three spot regionally. With no new marks from these top three Texas teams in the last few weeks, look for some big ones to come after the state meet this weekend.
- 5/02 Update: The Woodlands slipped from two nationally to the number three spot this week with no new marks from this powerhouse but they still remain on top narrowly to number two Kingwood. Kingwood (TX) stays strong in the number two spot regionally and number five spot nationally with solid marks from Ryan Snapp in the distances (4:21.86 – 1600m and 9:31.78 – 3200m) and Ryan Trobee in the 100m (10.86).
- 4/25 Update: No new changes in spots in this tough, tough region. The top three teams from this region are in the top six in the country.
- 4/18 Update: Texas teams reign strong in this region with The Woodlands (TX) still standing strong at number one and number two nationally. Newcomer Kingwood (TX) is giving The Woodlands a run ranked number two in the Southern Region and three nationally. The Woodlands stand strong with solid marks all around in particular Alex Neff’s 9:03.00 1600m and his 4:15.83 1600m.
South Girls –
- 5/30 Update: No new marks from these top three teams with A&M Consolidated (TX) on top. With the season just about over for these teams, only a newcomer can come in and knock off the best here. We'll see if the Great Southwest Classic brings in some more new marks from these top teams.
- 5/24 Update: Texas teams continue to astound the national scene with the number one, two and three spots nationally going to the top three of this region. Newcomer and NWN winner from last year, A&M Consolidated (TX) comes in this week to take the top spot from newcomer from last week, DeSoto (TX). - 5/09 Update: Newcomer DeSoto (TX) comes in this week to power ahead of this strong region to take over the number one spot both regionally as well as nationally. This team is solid across the board with nice marks from Gayla Cloud in the 100m hurdle (14.06), Skylar White in the discus (157’3”) and Diamond Richardson in the 400 m(56.26). Are there any other south regional teams that can come in and make a statement?
- 5/02 Update: Kingwood (TX) is strong on top here nationally and regionally with new marks from Hanselka (10:49.55 – 3200m) and Missy Huseman’s 10’0” pole vault. Newcomer Mansfield Timberview (TX) is the newcomer of the week jumping into the number three spot here regionally with marks from Missy Barnes in the 100m (11.61) and LaKeidra Stewart in the 400m (56.84),
- 4/25 Update: Kingwood (TX) remains the top dog in both this region and nationally again this week. Kristen Hanselka helps this team’s cause by bettering her 1600m mark to 5:00.12 this past week.
- 4/18 Update: Kingwood (TX) is the newcomer this week grabbing both the number one spots nationally and regionally. Solid performances all around prevail with notable marks from Kathryn Lupton in the 100m hurdle of 14.40 and good distance marks from Kristen Hanselka with a 1600m mark of 5:03.01 and a 3200m mark of 10:56.89.

- 5/30 Update: No new marks from these top three teams, only a newcomer can come in and knock off one of these teams.
- 5/24 Update: Boys’ top three remain the same with Cheyenne Central (WY) on top with new marks from Trevor Wells in the 400m (51.07), Scott Foley in the 1600m (4:23.17) and John Belcher in the shot put (59’1.25”).
- 5/16 Update: Cheyenne (WY) had a big week this past week to stay on top and to rise in the national ranks by two spots to number fifteen. Team star Brendan Ames helps with a new mark of 10.87 in the 100m as well as the long jump (24’2.5”). Justin Birt vaults to a new mark of 11’0” and John Belcher throws the discus 165’1” and the shot put 58’5.5”.
- 9 Update: Cheyenne Central (WY) stays on top of the region by less than 100 points over Grant (OR). Cheyenne Central’s Brendan Ames 10.96 100m improvement from this past week as well as John Belcher’s 164’3.5” discus helps this team.
- 5/02 Update: Cheyenne Central (WY) jumps to the top from third place since last week’s rankings. With big marks from team’s all star Brendan Ames with marks of 11.14 in the 110m, 13.64 in the 110m hurdles and 23’3” in the long jump. Scott Foley runs well with marks of 4.26:44 in the mile and 9:38.17 in the 3200m to help out the team as well.
- 4/25 Update: Grant stays on top in this region this week. Karl Acker betters his 400m to 50.71 which always helps.
- 4/18 Update: Grant leaps to the lead from a second spot from last week from strong performances from Karl Acker in the 100m (11.13) and 400m (50.72) and Paul McCoy’s long jump of 21’5”.
Northwest Girls -
- 5/30 Update: Hillsboro (OR) adds a mark from Aubrey Cribbs in the 400m (60.24) to bring their points up a bit from last week. With only four teams in this region and few weeks left of competition, will we see a few more NW regional teams get involved?
- 5/24 Update: No new changes in the top three rankings of this team with Hillsboro (OR) still on top. Hillsboro’s Florina Perte helps this team with strong marks in the discus (131’6”) and shot put (40’7”).
- 5/16 Update: Hillsboro (OR) continues to rise in the national ranks and stays strong in this region with the only team in the top three of this region with new marks this past week. Morgan Cribbs runs a 12.84 100m, Tricia Morrison runs a 4:55.49 in the 1500m as well as 10:36.93 in the 3000m, Rachel Dean runs a 16.84 in the 1000m hurdle and Kortni Fernstrom jumps a 15’3.25” long jump to help this team excel this past week.
- 5/09 Update: Hillsboro (OR) is still on top of this region. Florina Perte had a good week in both the discus (131’6”) and shot put (40’3”) to help raise this team this week. We could use a few more teams to fill out this region. Calling all Northwest teams!
- 5/02 Update: All top three teams had improvements from last week helping Hillsboro (OR) to leapfrog Grant in the rankings to the number one spot. Distance runner Tricia Morrison helps the cause with her recent marks of 4:55.49 in the 1500 and 10:57.0 in the 3200m and Florina Perte’s marks of the 126’8” in the discus and 38’8” in the shot put, helps the team.
- 4/25 Update: Grant (OR) still on top this week. Sara Wild shows some range with the leading 400m mark of 58.84 and a stellar1500m mark of 4:43.7. Not too much going on in this region with only four teams playing. Calling all Northwest teams!
- 4/18 Update: No changes here in rankings with Grant (OR) still on top. Solid sprints in the 100m from Christene Jones (13.02) and 400m from Sara Wild (58.84) lead the team.

- 5/30 Update: Desert Vista (AZ) remains strong nationally and regionally. No new points this past week from this strong team. Will we see any last minute powerhouses come in and dominate? Plus, with the Great Southwest Classic coming up this weekend, we may see a few more marks out of these teams.
- 5/24 Update: No new changes in the top three with Desert Vista (AZ) ranked number one regionally and nationally. Davis (UT) remains in the number two spot regionally and number four spot nationally with strong marks in the two mile (9:08.45) and 1600m (4:16.30) by Jared Ward, Shaun Webb in the 110m hurdle (14.96), Max Lennardt in the 400m (49.85) and Bryce Hall in the shot put (62’11”).
- 5/16 Update: Desert Vista (AZ) remains strong both regionally and nationally. See the national report for more details on this rock solid team.
- 5/09 Update: Desert Vista is the king of this region as well as the nation with a strong 8196 total points. See the national report for the individual marks. No changes in the number two and three spots regionally with Davis (UT) and Albuquerque Academy (NM). Davis’ distance specialist Jared Ward with a 4:16.30 1600m and a 9:08.45 two mile as well as Bryce Hall’s 62’10” shot put helps this team to a number five spot nationally.
- 5/02 Update: All three top teams remain in the same spots as last week with all of them with improvements, but Desert Vista remains the strong overall leader in this region and in the nation. Allante Battle continues to shine with better marks in the 100m (10.70) and 400m (48.49) and Marcus Washington’s new marks of 15.02 in the 110m hurdles and 22’8.5” in the long jump helps this well-balanced, strong team.
- 4/25 Update: Desert Vista (AZ) is the team to beat in this region as well nationally with Davis (UT) giving them a good run for their money with a number three national ranking. Desert Vista’s Allante Battle bettered his 100m mark to 10.73 and distance specialist Matt Boughton helps the cause with a 4:26.3 (1600m) and a 9:29.90 (3200m). Shea Kearney keeps getting better with a 16’1” pole vault mark breaking into the 16-plus vault range.
- 4/18 Update: Desert Vista (AZ) still stand strong as the national number one and regional number one. Solid marks all around makes this team the one to beat. Notable marks from Allante Battle in the 100m (10.87) and 400m (49.03) as well as the long jump (22’4”) and a nice mark of 15’7” in the pole vault from Shea Kearney.
Southwest Girls –
- 5/30 Update: Xavier College Prep (AZ) is on top of region this week with no new marks. With the post season, Great Southwest Classic, coming up this weekend, we hope to see some new marks from these top teams.
- 5/24 Update: Xavier College Prep (AZ) is on top of this region again this week with strong marks from Natalie Johnson in the 400m (55.54) and Chelsea Canepa in the 100m (12.59).
- 5/16 Update: Xavier College Prep (AZ) grabs the lead over Davis (UT) with a big week. Jessica Ton runs a stellar 10:37.23 3200m, Ketia Johnson jumps 5’1” in the high jump and Bethany Roessier runs a 16.20 in the 100 hurdle to help this team take the top spot back.
- 5/09 Update: Davis (UT) is still number one in this region with no new marks from any of the top three teams.
- 5/02 Update: Davis (UT) has a big week to put them on top of this region this week. Candace Eddy’s huge mark of 4:49.77 in the mile and Natalie Haws’ 11:04.91 3200m helps this rising team.
- 4/25 Update: Xavier College Prep (AZ) stays on top of this region this week. Chelsea Canepa helps the team with a 12.59 100m effort. O’Connor (AZ) a newcomer this week to the region knocks Thompson Valley (CO) out of the top three here.
- 4/18 Update: Xavier College Prep (AZ) is a newcomer this week grabbing the top spot from last week’s top contender, Davis (UT). Xavier College Prep’s lead marks come from Jessica Tonn’s distance performances of 4:54.57 in the 1600m (second sub-five 1600m mark from the top schools this week) and 10:46.98 in the 3200m. Natalie Johnson has also run a great mark of 55.54 in the 400m to help the team’s efforts.

- 5/30 Update: Los Gatos (CA) is still on top of the strong region. Jesuit edges closer to second place Vista Murrieta who is in second by only three points.
- 5/24 Update: Los Gatos (CA) still forges ahead this week on top with new marks from Dylan Shawhan in the 1600m (4:23.32), Kevin Rutledge in the long jump (23’2”) and from Colin Quirke in both the discus (172’7”) and shot put (60’8.25”) good for a number three spot nationally.
- 5/16 Update: Big week for Los Gatos (CA) who takes over the number one spot this week in this tight region by only three points over Vista Murrieta. New marks this past week from Dylan Shawhan for a 4:27.81 in the 1600m, Michael Scales, 16.11 in the 110m hurdle, Nico Weiler’s 17’3” pole vault and Colin Quirke shot put of 58’7” helps this teams’ cause.
- 5/09 Update: Number one regional Vista Murrieta had a huge week this past week to catapult them from a number eleven spot nationally to a number eight spot. League final improvements from Jamel King in the shot put (50’11”), Nick Ross in the high jump (6’7”), Kavon Seaton in the 100m (10.88), DJ Lloyd in the long jump (23’5.75”) and Chase Welch in the 3200m (9:51.93) helps this team this past week. Look out for more marks from this team with CIF and the state meet in the coming weeks.
- 5/02 Update: Vista Murrieta had a few improvements this past week to put them back into first place in this region and eleventh nationally but only by two points ahead of number two region team, Los Gatos. Only thirty-nine points separate the top three teams in this region. Stay tuned to what happens in this perennially tough state with CIF and State drawing near! Vista Murrieta’s Namar Burton’s 110m hurdle mark of 14.91 and Nick Mixon’s 10.95 100m leads this team.
- 4/25 Update: Los Gatos (CA) jumps back into first place in this tough region with 7625 points. Matthew Petrillo’s 8:45.11 3000m and Nico Weiler’s stellar vault of 16’8” as well as Kevin Rutledge’s high jump of 6’7.25” brings this team back to the top.
- 4/18 Update: Jesuit (CA) leaped over Los Gatos (CA) this week to grab the number one spot in the tough region. Nationally, the top three teams did slip a bit in the rankings with strong performances from outside this strong state. Jesuit excels with efforts from Evan Watchempino running well in the 1600m (4:22.67) and two mile (9:24.04) as well as Troy Casteneda’s solid performance in the vault at 14’2”.
CA Girls –
- 5/30 Update: No new marks from these top three teams this week but with the state meet coming up this weekend we could see a few new ones. Murrieta Valley (CA) still on top.
- 5/24 Update: Murrieta Valley (CA), with no new marks again this week, remains strong at number one but drops a few spots nationally to the number five spot. Saugus (CA) jumps from number three to number two with stellar marks from Shannon Murakami in the 1600m (4:42.50) and 3200m (10:31.24) from her amazing double at CIF finals and Heather Snyder’s 132’5” mark in the discus.
- 5/16 Update: Murrieta Valley (CA) is on top again this week. The top three teams had no new marks to report on but just wait, with CIF finals, Masters meets and the California State Meet around the corner for the coming weeks, these teams will only explode.
- 5/09 Update: Murrieta Valley will not lay down with Kelsey Rubeor out as other teammates pick up the pace and have some nice marks to help this team out this past week. Tiyauna Anderson improves upon her 110m mark with a 12.42 and Natalya Erbel comes in with a 9’0” pole vault mark to help the team’s cause. Mission Viejo takes over the number two spot regionally by a narrow 25 points over Saugus in the strong region with marks from Natalie Roy in the 110m hurdle (14.11) and Lauren Medina in the 1600m (5:21).
- 5/02 Update: Murrieta Valley (CA), top ranked team in this tough region, was dealt a blow this past week with the loss of their super star, Kelsey Rubeor, to a major knee injury. Her marks posted now will have to prevail for the rest of the season to keep this team strong in the rankings. No new marks from this team this past week but remains strong 271 points ahead of number two, Saugus. Saugus (CA) and Mission Viejo (CA) have a big week to jump them into the top three this week.
- 4/25 Update: Murrieta Valley (CA) tops this region still and remains at number two nationally by only nineteen points to Collins Hill (GA). Amber Middleton bettered her own 100m hurdle mark to 14.66 and Tiyuana Anderson’s 12.2 in the 110m helps this team. Mira Costa (CA) joins these elite top California teams with a huge week to bring them in at number three and number seven nationally. Look for what they can bring in the weeks to come.
- 4/18 Update: Powerhouse Murrieta Valley (CA) gets knocked off the top nationally by Texas’ Kingwood but remains strong on top of the this strong state. Taryn Pastoor has run well in the 1600m (5:06.89) and 3200m (10:58.9) as well as Amber Middleton in the 100m hurdles (14.8) and Kelsey Rubeor’s throws in the discus (121’5”) and shot put (43’3”).
