2. York IL - Three scorers are back from last year's deep national runner-up squad 2. Saugus CA - Two-time defending California champions and national runners-up bring back four scorers to challenge the Stotans of Fayetteville-Manlius NY
3. Fayetteville-Manlius NY - Six runners are back for the New York 2A runner-up squad, though lead runner Alex Hatz is recovering from off-season surgery 3. Saratoga NY - After finishing fourth at the NXN Finals last fall, Saratoga brings back all of their top eight runners
4. Royal CA - Fifth at California D1 last year, Royal returns five of their top seven 4. Shenendehowa NY - The fifth-place team in New York last fall, Shenendehowa returns their entire top seven
5. Joel Ferris WA - All seven runners return from last year's Washington 4A third-place squad 5. Dana Hills CA - Four runners return for the squad that finished atop D1 in California last year
6. Haddonfield Memorial NJ - All seven varsity runners return from last year's fourth-place New Jersey squad 6. The Woodlands TX - Texas 5A champions bring back six of their top seven
7. Arcadia CA - Fourth-place California D1 squad returns six varsity athletes 7. Magnificat OH - Defending Ohio D1 champion Magnificat brings back entire squad
8. Albuquerque Academy NM - Last year's New Mexico 4A champions bring back four varsity athletes 8. Queensbury NY - Five runners return for the fifth-place team at NXN last year
9. Mountain View CA - Last year's third-place California D2 squad welcomes back five, including state runner-up Garrett Rowe 9. Classical Academy CO - The defending Colorado 3A State champions and 12th-place finishers at NXN return five of their top seven for their 2009 campaign
10. Henry Jackson WA - Last year's Washington 4A state runner-up squad brings back four and showed tremendous depth on the track this spring 10. Torrey Pines CA - Finishing third last year in California, Torrey Pines returns six of their top seven
11. Boerne Champion TX - Defending Texas 4A champions bring back four scorers and a fifth varsity athlete 11. Geneva IL - Illinois 3A champions bring back six of their top seven
12. Klein Oak TX - Last year's fourth-place NXN South Region squad brings back four scorers and a fifth varsity athlete 12. Tatnall DE - Last year's third-place team at NXN lost two top runners, but returns five others
13. American Fork UT - 2008 Utah 5A runner-up and fourth-place NXN SW squad brings back six of seven 13. North Shore NY - North Shore returns its top six from a squad that finished sixth at NY Federations last fall
14. The Woodlands TX - Top two gone, but four return for the fourth-place NXN squad 14. Burnt Hills NY - Defending New York Federation champions, Burnt Hills returns four of their top seven runners from last fall

16. West Chester Henderson PA - All seven varsity athletes come back for last year's seventh-place Pennsylvania 3A team 16. Dowling Catholic IA - Iowa 4A champions return six varsity athletes and welcome additional talent
17. North Central WA - National champions bring back three runners 17. Monroe-Woodbury NY - The twelfth-place team at NY Feds last fall, Monroe-Woodbury returns all seven varsity athletes after a great track season this spring
18. Bishop Guertin NH - Defending New Hampshire champions return six of seven and add an in-state transfer to the mix 18. Oak Ridge CA - All seven runners return for Oak Ridge, who finished seventh in D2 at the California state meet
19. North Central IN - Fourth-place Indiana team in 2008 brings back five, including top Foot Locker Finals returner Futsum Zeinasellassie 19. Blacksburg VA - Five runners are back for the defending Virginia 2A champions
20. Christian Brothers NJ - Five varsity guys are back from last year's third-place New Jersey team 20. Eden Prairie MN - Defending Minnesota 2A and NXN Heartland Region champions bring back six of seven
21. Dana Hills CA - Only one varsity runner is back for the California D1 champions, but the deep program has reloaded 21. Midlothian VA - Six runners are back for the defending Virginia 3A champions
22. LaSalle PA - Last year's runner-up Pennsylvania 3A squad returns five athletes 22. Boulder CO - Finishing sixth at the Colorado 5A state championships last fall, Boulder returns six of their top seven and impressed in track last spring
23. Mountain View UT - 2008 Utah 4A runner-up team brings back four of seven 23. Newton South MA - Incoming freshmen talent adds to the returning four varsity athletes on the defending Massachusetts D1 champions
24. Wayzata MN - NXN Heartland champions bring back three runners 24. Mira Costa CA - Runner-up last fall to US#2 Saugus at the D2 California state championships
25. Ann Arbor Pioneer MI - Defending Michigan D1 champions return five of seven for the 2009 campaign 25. Lincoln-Sudbury MA - Incoming freshmen talent adds to the returning four varsity athletes on the defending Massachusetts D1 runner-up squad

32. Davis CA - Davis hopes success on the track carries over onto the cross country course this fall as they return four from last year's state cross country team 32. Orange Lutheran CA - Four returners, plus incoming freshmen talent, lead last year's California D3 runner-up squad
33. Crater OR - Four athletes return for defending Oregon 5A champions 33. Lee's Summit West MO - Defending Missouri 4A champions return five runners

37. Central Catholic OR - Last year's Oregon 6A runner-up team returns five of seven 37. Ward Melville NY - A strong track season by all seven returning varsity runners puts Ward Melville on the map despite just missing qualifying for the state meets last fall
38. West Windsor-Plainsboro North NJ - The Rosa twins lead the way for the 2008 fifth-place NXN squad as three varsity runners are back in action for 2009 38. La Salle RI - Last year's Rhode Island All-Class champions bring back five runners
39. Bishop Hendricken RI - The defending Rhode Island All-State champions return six of seven 39. Summit OR - Defending Oregon 5A champions return four runners
40. Hanover NH - Runner-up last year, Hanover returns four varsity athletes for the 2009 campaign 40. Park City UT - Defending Utah 3A champions bring back four scorers
41. Don Bosco NJ - Some top scorers lost, but four are back for the sixth-place 2008 NXN squad 41. Vista Ridge TX - The fourth-place NXN South Region squad brings back six runners
42. Pleasant Valley IA - Three-time defending Iowa 4A state champions return five of seven 42. Randolph NJ - Last year's eighth-place New Jersey Meet of Champions squad returns their top six runners
43. Jesuit OR - 2008 NXN Northwest runner-up squad returns two varsity runners, but reloads from strong JV program 43. Mountain View UT - Six runners return from last year's Utah 5A runner-up squad

45. Kamiakin WA - Sophomore talent now eligible to compete adds to Kamiakin's six returning varsity athletes 45. Collins Hill GA - Georgia's 6A champions lost their #1, but bring back four of their top seven from last fall
46. Trabuco Hills CA - Four return from last year's harrier unit and hope to build on a good spring on the track

48. El Toro CA - Three return from a California D1 Top-10 team last year, as well as newfound talent from track this spring 48. Stanwood WA - Returning everyone after finishing fourth in 4A last fall, Stanwood had a promising track season and look to challenge the defending state champions
49. Walter Johnson MD - Defending Maryland 4A champions return five of seven for the 2009 season 49. Fort Collins CO - Defending Colorado 5A champions lost two of their top three, but with five returning varsity athletes look to continue recent dominance
50. Prospect IL - Last year's sixth-place Illinois 3A squad brings back six runners 50. Naperville North IL - Six runners return from last year's fourth-place Illinois 3A team
