Californian Molly Grabill leads prep efforts for Team USA
Rancho Bernardo CA (South Coast XC Elite) soph Molly Grabill(at right, photo by John Roemer from USATF Jrs) was the top prep finisher in the meet, taking 9th of 28 runners in the Junior Women's 4k in 13:35.
Other Team USA preps included Abilene TX jr (Dallas Metroplex Striders) Jourdin Colin Ellis (10th-13:40) and Chinle AZ (Wings of America) frosh Rolanda Jumbo (11th-13:47). The Team USA Junior Women were 2nd of 5 teams behind Canada, led by NC State frosh Emily Pritt (3rd-13:18). Canadian Genevieve Lalonde won in 13:00.
The Team USA Junior Men's team was made up entirely of college freshmen, with another NC State runner, Ryan Hill, taking the win over 6K in 17:55. Team USA won easily.
Team USA also swept the senior races behind Clara Grandt (20:11 6k) and Stephen Pifer (23:15 8k)
