Young Men

Finals

Long Jump

      Demar Forbes of King (Atlanta, Ga./Sprint Athletics), with the competition already won, leaped 24-8 ¼ with the maximum allowable wind of 2.0 meters per second to move into equal fifth on the yearly national list. Zach Smith of Flying Aj’s was second at 23-10 ¼ and Vernon George Zion-Benton (Zion, Il./North Shore Breeze) was third at 23-10. Forbes improvement in the sixth round was the only improvement by any jumper in the final three rounds by someone  in the top three.

Discus

     Mark Kostecki of Humble (Tx./Track Houston) was the winner at 193-5. Sean Tabor of  Norman (Ok.) was second at 177-0 and Bravden Anderson of Sprayberry (Marietta, Ga./Throw 1 Deep) was third at 174-4.

Javelin

    Sam Humphrey of Alexander (Laredo, Tx./Club Olympia) was the winner with a personal best of 211-8. Matt Myers of East (Wichita, Ka./Missouri Valley) was second at 202-7 and Dan Newhouse of Illinois was third at 189-10.

Heat Winners Plus Next Three Fastest Qualify For Final

    HEAT ONE (+0.9)—Kevin Hobson (Sequin, Tx./Hallmark), second in State 5A 100 at 11.57, held a slight early lead in lane two but out in lane eight Jonathan Majors (Thornwood, South Holland, Il./Angelic Flyers) took the lead at the halfway point and went on to win in 10.76. Isaac Provitt of Rich Central (Olympia Falls, Il./O.F.F.) just edged Hobson, 10.88 to 10.89, for second but neither advanced.

    HEAT TWO (+0.8)—Darryll Williams of White Oak (Jacksonville, N.C./Track East Carolina) got a great start and had no trouble handling the field. Sean Lange of Northeast (Florida Park, Fl./City of Lauderdale) moved from four to second to edge Christopher McSwain of Mohave (Las Vegas, Nv.), 10.83 to 10.89 but, again, neither advanced.

    HEAT THREE (+1.7)—Charles Silmon (Waco, Tx./Hallmark) got up into running position quickly and displayed no wasted motion in running 10.62.

    HEAT FOUR (+1.0)—D’Angelo Cherry of Mt. Zion (Jonesboro, Ga./Worldwide) was just “gone” in running 10.48. Matthew Terrell of  Davis (Indianapolis, In./Indiana Storm) was second in 11.78.

    HEAT FIVE (+0.5)—Dominique Hubert of Eastside (Atlanta, Ga./Worldwide) got a great start but it still left him in second to Davon Smith of Westside (Waldorf, Md.) in lane seven, who was an easy winner in 10.58. Hubert was second at 10.74 and Quinton Dodson of DeSoto (Tx./D.A.T.A.C.) was third at 10.81 with both advancing.

 

400 Meters

Heat Winners Plus Next Four Fastest Qualify for Final

     HEAT ONE—Danzell Fortson, who is a freshman at the University of Texas, took over at 300 and ran a hard final 100 to finish in 46.74 for the fastest time of the day. Michael Berry of  Seatown Express (Seattle, Wa.) was second at 48.10 and also advanced.

    HEAT TWO—Trent Huling of Xing Xing was an easy winner in 58.36.

    HEAT THREE—Nichols Johnson of Boys and Girls Jaguar Club and Armand Rhone of Zephrys (Chicago) both got out well before being overtaken by Aaron Nadolsky of Three Rivers, who ran a great third 100. Dantwan Spreads of Dutchtown (Hampton, Ga./D.C. Express), running in lane one, went from third to first in the final 80 meters to win in 48.39. Nadolsky was second and a time qualifier at 48.88.

    HEAT FOUR—Colton Dunn of PSA Youth Running Club (Portland, Or.) and Rainis Fowler of Tri County East both got out well but it was Wayne Henry of Lackey (Indian Head, Md./747 TC) who was most impress with a storming the second turn that gave him the win in 47.75. Fowler was second in 48.31 and Dunn was fourth in 48.61. Both advanced as time qualifiers.

 

1,500 Meters

First Four in Each Heat Plus Next Four Fastest Qualify For Final

     HEAT ONE—With one lap to go Sadiki White of  Engineer and Science (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Michael Williams of Texas and Peak Distance, were first and second and they pulled away to finish in that order, 4:01.84 to 4:03.86, with a 61 second last lap. Jonathan Harris of Jenks America (Ok.) made a late charge to finish third in 4:04.54 and Michael Burke, at 4:04.61, was the final automatic qualifier. All four time qualifiers came from the heat led by John Darmody of O’Dea (Seattle, Wa./South Central Athletic) at 4:05.23 and Vermond Walker III of Quicksilver (Ga.) at 4:05.28..

    HEAT TWO—There was a closely grouped pack of at least six athletes with one lap remaining when Terrence Lee of Carver Engineering and Science (Philadelphia/Juventus) took off and was closely followed by Richard Zarazua of Valley United. The two went on to easily qualify in 4:07.67 and 4:07.66, respectively. Kouri Falconer and Shawn Dubbs of Peak Distance were the other two automatic qualifiers in 4:09.75 and 4:09.84, respectively..

Shot Put

     Davis Fraker of McIntosh (Peachtree City, Ga./Throw 1 Deep) was the winner at 52-8 ¾ and Nick Smith of Missouri Valley was second at 52-7 ¼. Kyle McKelvey of Dakotas was third at 52-1 14.

Triple Jump

      Kason Covington of Capital (Boise, Id.) with just one jump remaining and freshman Johnny Carter of Ridgeview (Bakersfield, Ca./ Team Raw) having just increased his leading best to 47-1, responded with at 47-7 ¼ to win the competition. Jordan Sampson of Track Houston (Tx.) was third at 45-11 ¼.

Heat Winners Plus Next Three Fastest Qualify For Final

    HEAT ONE (0.0)—Demetrius Lindo of Kennedy (Silver Spring, Md./Hummingbird) got just an average start but by 30 meter he had gained control of the race and went on to win in 10.99.

    HEAT TWO (0.0)—Anthony Riggins of St. Patrick’s/St. Vincent (Napa, Ca./Vacaville PAL) led from the start and won easily in 10.92. Fabion Morse of  Greensboro (Al./Montgomery Y) was doomed by a bad star and finished second in a nonqualifying 11.18.

     HEAT THREE (0.0)—Jalil Jack of  Vacaville PAL (Ca.) was a wire to wire winner in 11.08.

     HEAT FOUR (0.5)—Kristen Mitchell of Taylor (Houston, Tx./Houston Heat), running in lane seven was away first but never had a comfortable margin winning at 11.03.

    HEAT FIVE (+0.7)—Nycole Griffin of  Benson Tech (Portland, Or./Allegiance A) built what looked like a safe margin but Keenan Brock of Club Elite (Birmingham, Al.) closed with a rush as both runners clocked 10.90 with Griffin getting the win.  

 

400 Meters

Heat Winners Plus Next Four Fastest Qualify for Final

      HEAT ONE—Karrie Butler of Archbishop Carroll (Washington DC/Glenarden TC) and Trey Lee of Club Elite of Birmingham (Al.) were the leaders after 100 meters before Gary Holmes of Track Boys Club took he lead with a strong move down the back straight. Butler backed off the second and third 100’s before moving from fourth to first over the final 100 meters to win in 49.62. Byron Mingo of Palmetto Speed (S.C.) move late in the race and went from fourth to second running 49.98.

     HEAT TWO—Marquise Sneed of  Track Houston took a big early lead but then was reeled in by Josh Nance of Southern California Running Cougars whose big finish resulted in a seasonal best of 47.83. Sneed was a time qualifier at 49.27.

     HEAT THREE—Jaron Robertson of McEachern (Powder Springs, Ga./Titans) took the early lead but he could never shake Dominique Charles of Wings (Dallas). The two both advanced running 49.10 and 49.46, respectively.

    HEAT FOUR—Much like the previous heat, William Henry of Trotwood-Madison (Trotwood, Oh./Northwest TC) took the early lead but he could never pull away from Michael Okoro of Flying Aj’s as both advanced running, 48.52 to 48.79.

 

1,500 Meters

First Four In Each Heat Plus Next Four Fastest Qualify for Final.

    HEAT ONE—With one lap remaining Parker Bowles of Jenks America led a group of eight closely bunched runners but it was Nathan Williams of Centennial (Las Vegas, Nv./ Blasters) and Harold Lamour of Juventus (Philadelphia) who were first to finish in 4:15.33 and 4:16.22, respectively. Bowles was third at 4:16.23 and Nicholas Skidmore of Wisconsin was fourth at 4:16.50. Alexander Paul of Colorado and Jared Kenney of Cornhusker Flyers (Nb.) were the top time qualifiers at 4:16.50 and 4:16.63.

    HEAT TWO—With one lap to go, passed in 3:07.0. Caleb Her Many Horses of Montana took off but was passed with 80 meters remaining by Johnathan Jones of Track Houston who went on to win in 4:11.07. Matthew Jablonski passed Her Many Horses in the final straight, 4:11.70 to 4:11.90. Sean Colaco of California (San Ramon., Ca./Pleasanton Heat) was the final automatic qualifier in 4:15.76.

 

Youth Boys

     Davis Reinhardt of Three Rivers was the winner at 184-6. Travis Colby of Arizona Puma Youth was second at 178-3 and Jamaal Jones of Phoenix Bobcats was third at 170-0.

Heat Winners Plus Next Three Fastest Qualify For Final

     HEAT ONE (0.0)—Malcolm Brown of Tulsa Express, utilizing a standing start, still got out best and went on to win in 11.40. Devin Brown of Bellevue Breeze was a time qualifier at 11.46.

    HEAT TWO (0.0)—Khalfani Muhammad of Southern California Running Cougars was out well and then had to hold off Darius Dean of Worldwide, 11.40 to 11.52.
    HEAT THREE (0.0)—Izzy Garrison of Illinois, a tall and slender runner, was another wire to wire running 11.20. Blake Webb of Northwest Flyers also qualified with an 11.40.

   HEAT FOUR (0.7)—Brandon Sanders of Palmetto Speed (Fl.) had a good start and then showed great follow through in running 11.23.

     HEAT FIVE (0.0)—Michael Thomas of Summerville overcame a horrible start to win in 11.54.

 

400 Meters

Heat Winners Plus Next Four Fastest Qualify For Final

    HEAT ONE—Nicholas Hooper of Track Houston had a five-meter lead after 100 but he was caught by Xavier Jones of Greensboro (N.C.) with 80 meters to go.  Jones went on to win in 51.97 and Hooper was a time qualifier in 52.87.

   HEAT TWO—Malcolm Brown of the Tulsa Express, again not using any blocks took the early lead but then floated the second and third 200’s before moving from third to first over the final 100 meters to win in 51.85. Terrance Marshall of Track Houston had no trouble holding on to second in 52.32 and also advancing.

    HEAT THREE—Kordell Deffebaugh of Colorado Steppers and Jonathan Young of Cheetahs, running in lane eight, had the early lead before Young pulled away for the win in 52.31. James Maturan of Los Angeles Falcons (La Crescenta, Ca.) moved from third to second in the final 10 meters and run 53.11 and advance to the final as a time qualifier.

    HEAT FOUR—JaMariay McDonald of Allegiance A was the early leader but Terry Pagano of Southern California Running Cougars took control of the race with a strong final 100 to win in 51.48. Joshua Wilhite of Wings (Dallas, Tx.) was a time qualifier in second at 51.16. 

 

1,500 Meters

First Four in Each Heat Plus the Next Four Fastest Qualify for Final

    HEAT ONE—Dillon Worley of Northwest Flyers took the lead with 500 remaining and went on to win in 4:20.24. Tate Schienbein of Fast Feat was second at 4:20.59, Conner Smock of Cedar Rapids was third at 4:20.72 and Nick Hartle of PS Vegas Flyers (Nv.) was the final automatic qualifier at 4:21.71.

    HEAT TWO—Manny Lopez of Team Bliss was the winner in 4:18.78 followed by Taylor Hybl of PSA Youth (Portland, Or.) at 4:19.39, Matthew Helson of New Jersey at 4:19.58 and Parker Deuel of Pleasanton Heat (Ca.) at 4:19.84.

Pole Vault

      Natalie Willer, who is a freshman at Nebraska and last year was the second best high schooler at the National Junior championships, set a national Junior Olympic Young Womens record of 13-9 ½ to improve her personal best from 13-3 ½. The old mark was 13-5 ½ set by Kira Costa of San Joaquin Memorial (Fresno) in 2003. Rachel Fisher of Allen (Tx./Club Vaultitute) was second with a personal best of 12-9 ½ and Karlye Marshall of Lewis-Palmer (Monument, Co./CS Striders) was third at 12-3 ½.   

Triple Jump

      Alitta Boyd of Moreau Catholic (Hayward, Ca.) won with a personal best of 42-0 ½ for 2nd in the US prep national list. Whitney Rose of Pearland (Tx./Texas Storm was second at 40-9 ½ and Jacinda Evans of Southern (Durham, N.C./Durham Striders) was third at 40-3¾.

Discus

      Brittney Waller of J.L. Mann (Hanna, S.C./Quick Striders) was the winner at 149-0. Erin Pendleton of Woodmore (Elmore, Oh.), the nations second ranked thrower at 168-10, was second at 143-5 and Morgan Wilken of Crofton (Nb.) was third at 136-11.

Heat Winners Plus Next Three Fastest Qualify For Final

    HEAT ONE (-0.6)—Ambur Purvis of Benicia (Ca./Flying Jaguars) wobbled a bit at the start but once in running position was very fluid winning in 11.69.

     HEAT TWO (0.0)—Veronica Jones of Poteet (Mesquite, Tx./Dallas Gold) pulled away at the halfway point to win in 12.22.

     HEAT THREE (+0.9)—Victoria Jordan (Dunbar, Fort Worth, Tx./Dallas Gold) did not have to expend a whole lot of energy to win in 11.86. Lakeshia Williams of (Ramsey, Birmingham, Al./Club Elite of Birmingham) ran a great second 50 to also advance with a 12.09.

    HEAT FOUR (+1.1)—After just an average start, Chalonda Goodman of Newnan, Ga./New Horizon) looked in top form with her 11.55. Brianna Hubbard was out fastest and show that she is well on her way back to top form with a seasonal best of 11.84.

   HEAT FIVE (+0.5)—Candace Jackson of Skyline (Dallas, Tx./Dallas Gold) had the best start but Brittany McCord of Northwestern (Miami, Fl./Northwest Express) pulled away in the last 50 for the win in 12.07. Natasha Guy of Montbello (Denver, Co./D.A.T.A.C.) passed Jackson in the final 10 meters to advance as a time qualifier as both were timed in 12.17.

 

400 Meters

Heat Winners Plus Next Three Fastest Qualify For Final

    HEAT ONE—Lynette Atkinson of Ladue Horton Watkins (St. Louis, Mo./Team Missouri) and Turquoise Thompson of Serra (Gardena, Ca./Together Elite) were the early leaders but it was Thompson who prevailed in a 54.52. Kendra Chambers of Hanks (El Paso, Tx.), the Texas State 5A champion drew even with Atkinson at the head of the straight and drew away to finish in second at 55.04 with Atkinson third at 56.31. Both were time qualifiers.

    HEAT TWO—Briyanni Thomas of Marshall (Missouri City, Tx./Texas Storm) led from the start in running 56.54.

    HEAT THREE—Jessica Farr of Greensboro Champions and Leslie Reed of Flying Jaguars were alone until 100 meters remained when Adrienne Thomas of  Park River (N.D.) moved from third to first, winning in 56.39.

    HEAT FOUR—Clarrisa Toomer of Lancaster (Tx./Lancaster Lightning) took the early lead but Brittany Pringley of Northwestern (Miami, Fl.) stayed close and took the lead with 30 meters remaining. Pringley was timed in a personal best of 54.73 and Toomer was a time qualifier at 54.97.

    HEAT FIVE—Brandy Swann of Jacksonville (N.C./Track Eastern Carolina) was the leader at 200 before Teegan Hill of Lancaster (Tx./North Texas Cheetahs) took charge at 300 meters and went on to win in 55.99.

1,500 Meters

First Four in Each Heat Plus Next Four Fastest Qualify For Final

    HEAT ONE—Samantha Thompson of CS Striders was an easy winner in 4:44.61 as were the other automatic qualifiers, Kelli Budd of Marion (Omaha, Nb./Cornhusker Flyers) at 4:50.19, Chelsea Pettit of Holy Angels (Richfield, Mn./Spartans) at 4:51.21 and Gloria Sosa of Reno Tahoe at 4:52.52. Kylie Fitzgerald of Track Houston was the top time qualifier at 4:58.98.

    HEAT TWO—Katharine Showalter of Quicksilver (Ga.), at 4:51.31, Brittany Phillips of Cornhusker Flyers, at 4:52.11, Kathryn Zebrowski of Oklahoma, at 4:53.35 and Brissia Montalvo of Life Sports, at 4:54.22, were the  automatic qualifiers. Jenessa Benn of Nadia TC, at 4:55.23 and Jessica Stewart of Track Houston, at 4:55.23, were the top time qualifiers.

Pole Vault

       Morgann LeLeux of Catholic (New Iberia, La./ New Heights Gym) put the bar up to 13-3 in an attempt to break the National Junior Olympic Intermediate Girls  record of 13-1 ½ set by Katie Veith of Homestead (Ft. Wayne, In.) in 2005. Despite two close tries the record remained in place. LeLeux’s winning height was 12-5 ½. Shaylah Simpson of Desert Vista (Phoenix, Az./Ultimate High) was second at 11-11 ¾ and Adrienn LaChance of Cornwall (N.Y.) was third at 11-11 ¾.

Long Jump

       Monica Todd of Trabuco Hills (Mission Viejo, Ca.) scored a stunning upset with a winning jump of 18-10. Kenyattia Hackworth of  Mobile Parks and Recreation Dept. (Al.) was second at 18-9 ¼ and A’Lexus Brannon of  Ozen (Beaumont, Tx./Port Arthur TC), who has been over 21-0 , was third at 18-9. Jennifer Clayton of Suffern (N.Y.), who has been over 20-9, was fifth at 18-8.

Shot Put

       Freshman Kelsey Card of Carlinville, Il.) was the winner at 42-7 followed by Taylor McNally of Ennis (Mt.) at 41-0 ¼ and Hannah Carson of Dobson (Az./Cheetahs) at 40-0 ¼.

Heat Winners Plus Next Three Fastest Qualify For Final

    HEAT ONE (+0.8)—Tiffany Hines of Skyline (Dallas, Tx./Dallas Gold) was an easy winner in 12.17.

    HEAT TWO (+0.8)—Veronica Johnson of Myers Park (Charlotte, N.C./Quiet Storm) had a good start but appeared to fall asleep between 30 and 70 meters before waking up and moving from third to first in the last 30 meters to win in 12.06. Tierra Tyler of Western (Las Vegas, Nv./Vegas Valley) was second at 12.14 and Kenyattia Hackworth of Mobile Parks (Al.)  was third at 12.24. Both advanced as time qualifiers.

    HEAT THREE (+0.8)—Despite being left in the blocks Ashley Collier of Dunbar (Fort Worth, Tx./Dallas Gold) had grabbed the lead at 30 meters and won easily in 11.96.

    HEAT FOUR (+1.2)—Taylor Houston of Elkins (Missouri City, Tx.) went from third to first in the final 20 meters to win in 12.25. Kayla Fisher-Taylor of  Montbello (Denver, Co./Cheetahs) also advanced as a time qualifier at in 12.27.

    HEAT FIVE (0.0)—Alicia Prior of  Mt. Zion (Jonesboro, Ga./Worldwide) led the entire way in running 12.04.    

 

400 Meters

Heat Winners Plus Next Three Fastest Qualify For Final

      HEAT ONE—Jasmyne King of Central (Rapid City, S.D.) was the early lead with Angelica Weaver of Rancho Cucamonga (Ca./Together Elite) in second. Weaver took the lead in the final straight only to see King come back to win the race, 55.22 to 55.40. For King it was a personal best by .80 seconds.

   HEAT TWO—Briana Nelson of J.L. Mann (Greenville, S.C./Quick Striders), who has run 53.46, was an easy winner in 54.92.

    HEAT THREE—Nia Fluker of Christway Academy (Duncanville, Tx.) was just .10 off her personal best in winning at 54.51. Deseree King of  Ebenezer Royals was second in a personal best of 55.84.

    HEAT FOUR—Brianna Frazier of Raines (Jacksonville, Fl./Dominion), who has run 53.98, won in 54.74. Blessing Mayungbe of Lamar (Houston, Tx./Wings) floated the third 100 and then ran down Yamira Bell of the United Stars (Pa.), for second, 55.20 to 56.64, to advance as a time qualifier.

     HEAT FIVE—Freshman Akawkaw Ndipagbor of Poly (Long Beach, Ca./Together Elite), who finished third in the recent National Junior championships and has run 53.35, was never challenged winning in 54.73.      

 

1,500 Meters

First Four in Each Heat Plus Next Four Fastest Qualify For Final

    HEAT ONE—Phyllis Francis of McAuley (Brooklyn, N.Y./Team Evolution) took the lead at 1,200, passed in 3:29.0, and went on to win in 4::42.24. Diane Robison of Parkway Central (Chesterfield, Mo./Team Missouri) and Danielle Menlove of Sojourners (Ut.), were not far behind at 4:43.20 and 4:44.99. Melissa Parks of Norfolk was the final automatic qualifier at 4:46.12. Dominique Gerard of Zoom was the first time qualifier at 4:46.73.

      HEAT TWO—Claudia Francis of Benjamin Cardozo (Oakland Gardens, N.Y.) and Eleanor Fulton of Highlands Ranch (Co./Zoom) were one-two in the latter stages of the race with Francis repelled Fulton’s strongest challenge in the final straight to win, 4:39.82 to 4:40.60. Aubree Worden of Scottsbulff Lizards was third at 4:48.35 and Devyn Thompson of Illinois Elite was the fourth and final automatic qualifier at 4:48.67.

High Jump

       Mimieux Land of Ruff Riders was the winner at 5-3. Rachel Welker of Terre Haute Tigers (In.) was second and Ashlee Moore of Arizona Flames was third, both at 5-3.

Discus

      Michelle Wallerstedt of West O  (Nb.) was the winner at 115-7. Samantha Weaver of Oregon was second at 114-8 and Brittany Jackson of Nevada was third at 113-9.

Heat Winners Plus Next Three Fastest Qualify For Final

    HEAT ONE (0.0)—1. Rhenique Williams of West Mesquite Stampede just accelerated away for the field between 30 and 60 meters to win easily in 12.35.

    HEAT TWO (0.0)—Megan Paul of Waukegan Invaders and Breanca Thompson of Mobile Park (Al.) alternated the lead at least twice before Paul prevailed at 12.42. Thompson ran 12.49 but did not advance.

    HEAT THREE (0.0)—Aaliyah Brown of Illinois Elite Youth, who dominated the Midget division last year, took a slight lead on Trinity Wilson of E.O.Y.D.C. (Oakland, Ca.) and then had to hold off Wilson, 12.10 to 12.12.

     HEAT FOUR (0.0)—Robin Reynolds of Northwest Express  (Miami, Fl.), looks to be in top form and in great physical shape, based on an easy 12.03 win. Lateisha Philson of Ruff Kutz and Maya Brown of the Los Angeles Jets, at 12.30 and  12.42, respectively, also advanced as time qualifiers.

     HEAT FIVE (0.0)—Bealoved Brown of Track Houston got out fast and was never challenged winning in 12.30..

Heat Winners Plus Next Four Fastest Qualify For Final

    HEAT ONE—Aalayah Faulcon of Durham Striders (N.C.) and Ashante Horsley of McMinnville (Or./McMinnville TC) were the leaders at 200 and were joined by Briana Adams of North Texas Cheetahs at 300. Adams then pulled away for the win in 57.49.

    HEAT TWO—Laura McDowell of Southern California was the early leader and was never challenged winning in 54.46.

    HEAT THREE—Robin Reynolds of Northwest Express (Miami, Fl.), who holds the Youth National record at 53.04, took the early lead but was pushed down the back straight by GinAsia Hamilton of Flight TC, before pulling away for an easy win, 55.02 to 56.98. Megan Paul of Waukegan Invaders was a time qualifier in third at 57.33.

    HEAT FOUR—Sasha Wallace of 3M Track Club took the early lead but then gave it up on  the back straight to Chimere Ezumah of Bay Cities Unleashed. Wallace retook the lead coming off the final turn and finished in 56.54.

    HEAT FIVE—Tiffany Terry of My Stars took the early lead only to see Genamarie McCant of PV move into first at 300. Terry then ran down McCant for the win, 56.27  to 56.42. McCant advanced as a time qualifier.

 

1,500 Meters

First Four in Each Heat Plus Next Four Fastest Qualify For Final

    HEAT ONE—Samiiah Wilson of Carolina Eagles, Amy-Eloise Neale of Snohomish (Wa.) and Kaylor Murray of Nashville Illusions (Tn.) were the leaders with one to go but it was Savannah Camacho of San Luis Distance Club (Ca.) who use a burst of speed over the final 200 to win in 4:49.90. Neale was second at 4:50.08, Wilson was third at 4:50.16 and Murray was fourth at 4:50.11

    HEAT TWO—Abbey Leonardi of Kennebunk Track (Me.) was an easy winner in 4:44.88. Rolonda Jumbo of TCM Rez Runners was second at 4:49.72 followed by Katherine Adams of Illinois at 4:50.52 and Courtney Filliben of Alpha Omega Elite at 4:52.29.
