Waukee (49.47) and Iowa City West (49.83) are also under 50.00 * North Tama, led by Brooke and Blaire Dinsdale, lead 4 x 400 qualifiers with a 4:01.17 heat one win. Waukee (4:01.90) takes heat two, with Sioux City East (4:02.42), Iowa City West (4:03.16) and Cedar Falls (4:04.61) all under 4:05. * Xavier (Cedar Rapids) runs 43.39 to edge Ames (43.44) in heat two and leads boys 4 x 100 qualifiers. * St. Edmond (3:23.22) wins heat two over Cedar Falls (3:24.25) to lead boys 4 x 400 qualifiers.
THURSDAY HIGHLIGHTS
Thursday Highlights *Katie (9:56.23) and Betsy (9:58.25) Flood (Dowling, West Des Moines) go 1-2 in the 3000. *Hannah Willms (Dike-New Hartford) wins the HJ at 5-9, edging AG Bradford (Davenport North) on misses. Kendra DeJong (Unity Chritian) is third at 5-8. *Danielle Frere (Muscatine) dominates a deep shot competition with nine over 40 feet. Frere won with a second round48-2.75 and had three other throws over 44 feet. *Devin Allbaugh (Pleasant Valley runs 9:22.01 to dominate the 3200. *Zach Bennington (Central-Elkader) pops a 23-0.25 to win the LJ. *Thomas Reynolds (Iowa City West) unleashes a 191-0 throw in round four to dominate the DT. Reynolds also had tosses of 187-7, 186-6 and 184-4 in his series.
