opened its season and ended up 4th in 5A-6A at the Chickasaw Trails (AL) Invite with 161 points, as SE#6 Mountain Brook won with just 27. While graduating some quality runners, Tupelo does have 4 back from NTN, but state bronze medalist jr Maggie McFerrin is currently out with an injury. Corinth MS, the defending state 3A champ returning the top 3 state individuals, ran well to claim the 1A-4A race, with times matching up favorably with Tupelo through the top 3.
