Howard won by nearly 2 feet, as only 5 of the 24 accepted athletes chose to compete in the miserable weather conditions.
No-shows included Brazos TX sr Thomas Lang, the US#3 returnee, and Friday’s long jump champ Hearne TX sr Chris Carter, the US#4 returnee.
