- Texas Relays is always a good place to jump, but I haven’t had the success I’ve hoped for in past years.
- I’ve gone 6-9 here twice. That’s not bad as sophomore, and then a junior, but at the same time this is the elite meet, so if you want to compete here, you better bring it. Sometimes 6-9 might be the best, like today 6-9 was good enough to win. As a freshman, I watched Scott Sellers jump 7-5, so you never know.
- NSIC was my first indoor meet ever, and I was 2nd to Phil Feinberg, who was in his first indoor meet also.
- I tried 7-1.25 because Feinberg went 7-1 at NSIC and I wanted to trump that.
- I talked to Mike Healey (7-footer from Cinco Ranch TX who didn’t compete today) and he has a sore hamstring. But he should be okay by State, which is good because competition is great.
- I’m planning to go to Nike Outdoor this summer.

GIRLS
Current US#1 Marshall sr Brittani Carter ekes out a win over 2 others at 5-7, as weather continues to deteriorate with cool, windy conditions expected to turn very rainy overnight.
Carter is the US#4 outdoor returnee, and was #3 indoors at 5-10,
