| Huge hurdle double for Jackie Coward

- Knoxville West sr Jackie Coward blasted a 13.11w / 41.26 double for 100H/300H, both US#1 marks (the 100H mark is #1 all-conditions). Jasmin Stowers SC 2nd in both at 13.52w / 43.19
- Trotwood Madison sr Michael Shaw runs a great triple - 10.39w (+4.9) / 21.30w (+2.2) / and anchor on winning (3:21.04) 4x4 relay
- East Forsyth NC sr Dylan Ferris rips a solid 1:52.42 800
- After a tough 2M loss, Blacksburg VA sr Peter Dorrell comes back to win the mile with 4:15.36 to Brentwood TN's Sean Keveren's 4:17.25. Knoxville West's Matt Sonnenfeldt 4:22.05 leads four more under 4:26.
- Brookwood TN's Robert Jackson 13.99w (+3.1) to 14.11 win over Andrews SC's Marcus Pope
- Marcus Pope comes back in 300H to reverse decision with 37.54 victory

Girls 100H / 300H -- Both races should provide some fireworks as US Leader Jackie Coward (Knoxville West) goes head to head with Pendelton HS (South Carolina) soph and US #3 Jasmine Stowers. Last week at the Tacco Bell Classic Coward beat Stowers in the 100H race to notch a US # 1 time of 13.26. Both girls represented the US in international competition last summer with Coward wining the bronze at the Pan AM Juniors and Stowers placing 4th at the World Youth Championships. Throw in Asheville HS (NC) standout Sophia Treakle - 2007 NC 3A State Champ 100 MH and 300 MH and you have a great hurdle duel. All three should vie for top national times in the longer hurdle race as well. Girls 2M - Features the 2006 Footlocker National Cross Country Champ ( 07 Runner-Up) / 3 time Tennessee State CC Champ and state 3200m record holder - Kathy Kroeger - from Independence HS. Kroeger will go against TC Roberson's Caroline Kirby two time NC state cross country champ and local distance standout and state DII cross country champ in 06 - Amber Zimmerman of Webb. Boys 800 Features Dylan Ferris - East Forsyth, North Carolina. Ferris is one of the top 800 runners in the US with a best of 1:49.27. A Nike Outdoor Track All-American Ferris has run a seasons best of 1:53 with a 1:51 relay split last week at the Tacco Bell Classic. Other runners to watch in this fast 800 are Oak Ridge HS's Emerson Peacock who currently has the best 800 time in Tennessee 1:55.3 and Chad Nickson from Ohio's Trottwood Madison HS. Boys 1M Probably one of the best mile fields in quite some time at VTC. Features Ferris (if he decides to double) at 4:08. Blacksburg (VA) Peter Dorrell who was a Nike Indoor All-American in the 2M, Hickory NC's Ryan Hill - 2007 Footlocker Cross Country All-American, 2008 NIKE Indoor Nationals All-American , Patrick Campbell - Mooresville, NC - also a 2007 Footlocker Cross Country All-American, 2008 NIKE Indoor Nationals All-American, Brentwood HS (TN) Sean Keveren - 3 time TSSAA AAA State Cross Country Champ and State 3200 / 1600 state champ. Baylor School (TN) Bill Matthews who owns the faster time TN this season at 4:16, rounding out the field will be West HS's Matt Sonnenfeldt who finished behind Hill and Campbell last week at the Tacco Bell Classic in the 3200 - 9:16 Additional Quality Athletes: 1. Trottwood Madison (OH) - Mike Shaw -- currently has the fastest time in OH for both the 100 and 200 - 10.61 / 21.68 2. Andrews Highs School, SC -Marcus Pope - 100H / 400H - All-American, 9-Time State Champion, State Champ in the 110H, 400H, 400, 4x400 relay, ranks #1 in the State in the 110H, 400 PR's - 100H - 13.99 / 400 - 48.39 / 400H - 52.22 --- has signed with University of South Carolina
