Dunbar girls, Ballou boys win team titles
Lindo, Bonham and Imani score big points



Team Champs:
  • Boys - Ballou boys 117 over Dunbar 109
  • Girls - Dunbar girls 257.50 over HD Woodson 105.50
Highlights
  • Dunbar's Denneisha Frazier jumped her way to two titles, with a 16-11.75 LJ and 5-00.00 HJ
  • Kristopher Kornegay-Gober (McKinley Tech) won the high jump competition with a 6-06.00 effort and the 300m hurdles in a time of 40.66
  • Ashley Bacote (Dunbar) earned the hurdles double with her 45.50 in the 300 hurdles and a 16.05 in the 100m hurdles  
  • Dunbar women continued to make their mark as a team with Dominique Anderson winning both the 100m (12.85) and 200m (26.47)
  • Ballou standout Julius West finished first in the 100m dash in 11.00, first in the 200m in 22.13 and ran on the winning 4x100m relay (44.18) 
  • Another Ballou big point scorer Demetrius Lindo took gold in the 110m hurdles (14.70), second in the 200m dash (22.25) and second in the 400m dash (49.93)
  • Angela Bonham continued her cross country success with a 5:33.20 win in the 1600m run, 12:27.73 win in the 3200m run, a leg on the winning 4x400m relay team (4:06.38) and a runner-up position in the 800m run (2:24.97), earning loads of points for Dunbar
  • T. Roosevelt's Kelly Imani ruled the distance events by claiming first in the 800 (1:58.98), 1600 (4:42.01), 3200 (10:31.22) and in the 1500m steeplechase (4:51.42)
  • Michille Turner (HD Woodson) took top honors in the triple jump (34-01.50) and 800m run (2:21.85), as well as taking second in the 1600m run (5:45.62)
  • Ballou boys held off long-time champs Dunbar in the 4x400m relay, 3:35.94 to 3:40.13 to end the meet with an eight point margin on their victory
