Class 6A Highlights
- Sparkman's super soph Katie Huston upsets favored favored Madeline Morgan of US#14/SE#3 Mountain Brook with a splendid 18:05.34, but Morgan's teammates take up slack and place six runners in the top 10 to run away with 6A girls crown--the Lady Spartans' sixth straight and eighth in last nine years.
- Mountain Brook's boys complete 6A sweep as junior Layton Dorsett's second place finish (15:52,27) paces five Spartan runners in top 20.
- Auburn's Patrick Gomez scorches field in 6A boys' competition, running a 15:50.75 as first 20 runners go under 17 minutes; Hoover's highly regarded Patrick McGregor manages only eighth.
Class 5A Highlights
- Scottsboro's Lucas Sieb wins duel with St. Paul's Stuart Graham, 16:23.99 to 16:29.41 in 5A boys' race, and leads1-6-7-14-16 finish to take the boys' title.
- Caitlin Chitwood gets individual title in girls' race for Scottsboro (18:52.32), and gets 4-5-6-9 finish from teammates Haley Hancock, Hannah Thompson, Jamie Delay and Savannah Roland en route to eighth straight title.
Class 4A Highlights
- UMS-Wright's Robert Willett only runner to break 17 minutes as he runs away from the field to take 4A boys' race in 16:46.77, and gets 2-3-4 finish from teammates Dan Drew, Tucker McFarlane, and Ritchie Huetteman as the Bulldogs miss a perfect score by only two points.
- Rogers' Katie Stewart (19:31.82) leads 1-2-3 sweep as Lady Pirates dominate 4A girls.
Class 3A Highlights
- Randolph scores six runners in top 15, led by Keith Buell's fourth place overall finish (17:16.08) to win 3A boys' title.
- Catholic-Huntsville's Mark Fisher only runner to go under 17 minutes as he takes first indivudual boys' title in three tries.
- Montgomery Academy's Maggie Rickard gets individual win with a splendid 19:11.86, as her team wins despite rival T. R. Miller putting four runners in top six.
Class 1A-2A Highlights
- Cold Springs' Nathan Lewis and Palee Myrex win individual boys and girls' titles in 16:28 and 20:40.63 respectively.
- Zeke Nichols' fourth place finish (17:33.39) paces victorious Hatton, despite a strong third-place finish by Athens Bible's Colby Phillips (16:48.91).
- Sara Gibson's second-place 20:54.54 leads a 2-5-6-9 finish for victorious American Christian.
