Highlights It may have been the smallest of the weekend mega meets at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York, but the Pepsi Hall of Fame Classic was not short on quality performances.
Girls Long Jump – 19’4” #3 USA Ashley Hendrix (Uniondale, NY)
Girls 400 – 54.37 – USA #4 by Chanelle Price (Easton, Pa) over Ashley McLaughlin (Uniondale, NY)- 54.67 (#5 USA) and Christie Verdier (Baldwin, NY) -55.85
Girls 4 x 800 – Pope John (NJ) fresh off their State Group team title Thursday won leading all the way in 9:15.71 (#3 USA) over Bronxville (NY) 9:23.61
Girls High Jump - 5’ 8” Saniel Atkinson(Bishop McNamara, Md)- her 2nd time over 5’8” this season
Girls 4 x 400 – Easton (Pa) with Chanelle Price earning her 2nd win of the day wins in 3:52.55 (#2 USA)
Girls 4 x 200 – 1:41.20 - #3 USA for McDonough School (Md) over Hempstead (NY) 1:42.08 and Uniondale(NY) – 1:42.27
Girls Pole Vault – Stephanie Duffy (Washingtonvile, NY) 12’6”
Girls Sprint Medley Relay – Chanelle Price runs to her 3rd victory of the day and brings Easton (Pa) to a USA#1 time of 4:00.59- since meet rules only for an athlete to do 2 events Easton was DQ’d (more) | | Above, the winning 4x800 team from Chaminade. Boys 2-Mile – Ryan McDermott (Chaminade, NY) 9:11.90 - #1 USA leads wire to wire over Kyle Merber (Half Hallow Hills, NY) 9:29.89 and Dylan Trotzuk (Collegiate, NY) 9:29.99
Boys 4 x 200 – Clarkstwon South (NY) holds off cross country rival Ramapo (NY) and St. Benedicts (NJ). The winning time of 1:29.70 for Clarkstown is USA #3 ahead of Ramapo’s 1:30.53 and St Benedict’s 1:30.67
Boys 4 x 800 – Chaminade 7:53.79 - #4 USA (run without #1 man Ryan McDermott who has run 4:16 and was in the 2-mile 2 events after the relay) over Pleasantville(NJ) 7:56.29 and Bryam Hills (NY) 7:58.77
Boys 400 – Charles Cox (Monmouth, NJ) 48.76
