Season kicks off in New York and Arlington gets the ball rolling with a sweep fo the varsity team titles. The girls team placed 6 runners in the top 10
Hayley McMahon (a 4:35 1500 meter runner in 2009) took the individual girls honors running 18:48.1 for the hilly 3 mile course. McMahon was injuried her freshman year of cross country, then returned to swimming last fall, but has had a solid summer of training and looks ready.
The host school's Martin Hehir took the boys varsity crown in a near meet record 15:52.2 pulling away from runner up Isaiah Miller (Middletown) over the last mile for a 41 second win.
