- The meet had to re-scheduled a few days which resulted in some of the local stars not taking part, but for a few it was a chance to put thier names in the record books.
- New US #1's in the pentathlon by Rutherford' s Heather Gearity 3044 points (also a meet record) and Joe Vargas, Paramus, 3,216 points
- Diane Bain (Ramsey) came from behind to run the fastest time in NJ in the 600 with a 1:36.6 clocking
- Meet records included Jenni Zymet (Paramus) a 57.3 in the 400, Erin McKenna (Ramapo) 2:57.8 in the 1000 meters - #7 on the dyestat metro elite list, Michelle Farve (Saddle Brook) 11' 6" in the pole vault, and Greg Hoffman (Park Ridge) 14' 6" in the pole vault
