Section I Highlights
  • NY#7 Running Lady Pirates of Pearl River take title #30 in a row.
  • Unranked Suffern upsets NY #7 North Rockland and #8 Arlington to take AA crown
  • NY#9 Bronxville continues to dominate class C
  • NON Steeplechase Champion Shelby Greany (Suffern) and Arlington’s Jon Mulller run best times of the day.  Greany by 43 seconds

Section II Highlights
  • NY #3 Burnt Hills girls upset NY #2 Queensbury by 4 to take Class A title.  NY #4 Saratoga Springs beats NY #5 Shenendehowa by 9 for the AA crown
  • Shenendehowa NY #1 boys squad take 5 of the top 6 to dominate the AA race. 
  • Shen’s Alex Leuchanka and Queensbury’s Danielle Winslow post best times of the day

Section III Highlights
  • Fayetteville-Manlius showed why they are the US#1 taking the first 7 places to claim the AA crown.  When the day had ended, F-M had the 6 fastest girls times led by Courtney Chapman’s 17:55.  The 2 time defending NTN Champions had the best team time by 10 minutes and an average of 18:35.4.
  • The Fayetteville boys team was not to be outdone and was the top team of the day with an 81:57.0 total team time.
  • Chris Stogsdill (Marcellus) had the top boys performance with a 15:49.6 clocking to take the B crown by 32 seconds.
  • Holland Patent beats Jordan Elbridge on tie breaker for C title
Section IV Highlights
  • Binghamton boys and Corning girls, taking the AA Championships, are top teams of the day.
  • Jeff Martinez and 9th grader Laureen Mullins, both of Johnson City, runs best time of the day in taking the Class B title
  • Newark Valley sweeps "C" titles

Section V Highlights

  • Honeoye Falls- Lima boys and Mendon girls have the top teams of the day
  • Defending state champion Alex Deir (Honeoye Falls-Lima) and Amanda Moreland(Bloomfield) are top individuals


Section VI Highlights
  • East Aurora sweeps Class B titles
  • The girls, ranked #6 in New York, placed 6 runners in the top 8, the boys go 1-2-3
  • Top times of the day turned in by Joe Whelan(Hamburg) 16:19.4 and Brenna Symoniak(Amherst) 19:02.5

Section VII Highlights
  • Seton Catholic and Saranac Lake each go 1-2-3 to claim boy’s titles
  • The girl’s teams match and do the boys 1 better.  Seton Catholic goes 1-23 in the D race while Saranac Lake goes 1 -2- 3- 4 to claim Class C
  • Genna Hartung (Seton Catholic) and Michael Champagne(Seton Catholic) are the days top individuals
Section VIII Highlights
  • Unlike every other Sectional race, this was a 1 race with all classes combined
  • Defending state champion Emily Lipari(Roslyn) runs away with win and a chance to defend her crown.
  • With a strong 2nd and 3rd place punch, North Shore is top team of the day
  • Wantagh puts 4 runners in the top 10 to be top boys team
  • Marco Betolotti(Port Washington) is individual champ


Section IX Highlights
  • NY#10 Warwick Valley upsets #9 Washingtonville to take AA title
  • #10 Corwall rolls to A title behind Aisling Cuffe’s individual win
  • Klaus Schmidt (Red Hook) and Cuffe post the days fastest times

Section X Highlights
  • 3 “ of snow greeted the runners in the 1 race format
  • Massena, Canton, and Norwood-Norfolk advanced both boys and girls teams
  • Fastest times of the day were posted by Canton’s Aimee Beudette (19:06) and Matt Pierce (16:36)

Section XI Highlights
  • Bayshore’s Kim Moran and Smithtown’s Jason Santos posts days best times.
  • Bayshore girls and Shoreham Wading River boys are top teams of the day.
  • Bayshore takes AA crown by 1 over Northport
  • Shoreham Wading River sweeps B titles.  Boys score a perfect 15
