Senior Dayna White led things off with a solid 1200m run. Prospect, Downers Grove and Marian Catholic were chasers from there on. The Saints deployed freshman Mallory Abel to close things out- running a spirited anchor leg for the record win.

summary: Chicago Brother Rice won the first heat of the DMR rather handily, but it was the second heat that was faster. In the second heat Lane Tech's Kulayfi Haji gave his team a big early lead with 3:14.8 in the first leg (1200 meter). Close behind him was Highland Park, Honenogah, Schaumburg, and Dundee Crown. Dundee Crown's Anthony Manrin separated DC from the pack on the last leg (1600 meter). Most of the fans thought he would win big. After all, Manfrin is one of the fastest 1600 meter runners in the state for juniors. However, Highland Park closed the gap considerably when their last leg ran a 4:22 PR to come close to Manfrin.
