Summary: despite running fast recently, the talk of Schaumburg actually winning the IPTT championship was ho-hum. Well, the Saxon foursome quickly changed the mind of pundits with Lesiewicz's 2:19.0 lead off. The lead was lost momentarily but matters took fold for good on the third leg and for the kill on Petrey's 2:18 carry. Geneva valiantly closed the indoor season out well and the race but came up short. Bloom ran well early with a sub-2:20 open by Tara Gonzalez. Sandburg put the pressure on the championship race foes by winning section one.

"I hurt my achilles a bit earlier so I didn't want to get hurt" said Nequa Valley first leg Brian Griffith who ran a 1:55 on the first leg to give Nequa Valley an early lead. Edwardsville and Nequa Valley ran close to each other the rest of the way. Dan Mazar, the last leg of Edwardsville pulled in the victory for Edwardsville." We want to run faster than last year" said Edwardsville's Devon Dudding- refering to Edwardsville's state finish last year.
