Octoberfest Invitational

In the girls race, Erin Swain of team champion Lake Braddock 
won her fourth successive invitational 
in as many weekends and fifth overall of the season. Swain went through the 
first mile in 5:38 with a comfortable lead and increased it to a thirty 
second advantage at two miles with her split of 11:25. In the boys race, 
individual runnerup Todd Lucia of AA power and team champion Western 
Albemarle led a group of five runners through the first mile in 4:58 and the 
second mile in 10:10 before being overtaken in the last 100 meters by
