Montana Preview

There are just two weeks left in the Montana

season and the Preview Meet is a good warm up.  All the AA schools get a

chance to see each other.  Our state is so big that we don't really know

what is happening across the state.  Billings is over 500 miles from

Kalispell.





Participants: All AA (Largest Division) were present but Big Sky High

School from Missoula.  Schools are divided into the Lewis and Clark

Divisions.  Flathead boys won the Lewis Division easily with an average

time of 15:33 for the top five runners.  You might consider Helena

Capital as one of the better teams in this area.  They took second at

the Mtn West Classic.  They placed ahead of all seven Washington schools

that were there.  Also, Rowdy Sargeson is a great runner and should be

considered in somebody's top list of individual runners.  He did defeat

David Vidal from Flathead in the Preview meet.  Billings West won the

Clark Division.  

For the girls Bozeman won the Clark Division and Great

Falls CMR won the Lewis Division.  It looks like Amber Arvidson and

Heidi Lane from CMR are the top two runners in the state for girls.

Senior Amber Arvidson is a two time state champ in XC in this state.

Last year she posted a 17:50 on the state meet course.
