Nationally
ranked runners on a legendary course made for another great Sunflower meet.
With around 5 or 6 state ranked teams in each race, plus numerous
All-State contenders, the competition was fierce and fabulous.
Foot-Locker Finalist Amanda Pape led an Olathe South 1-2 punch, but
couldn't hold back the team running of SM East. Defending State Champ SM
Northwest placed third, with state #4 Free State close behind.
In
the boys race, David Williams of Lawrence hammered the pace from the gun,
outdistancing the pack of nationally ranked SM Northwest.
With 6 in the top 8, Northwest dominated the team race.
