Kaltenbach burst on the Colorado prep scene as a freshman last month with
phenomenal times in small meets. Now, she proved she could deliver on a
bigger stage. The Denver Post said she "smoked" the field and
headlined the story, "Frosh Kaltenbach's win out of
sight." Kaltenbach
finished in 18:30 (3.1 mi) and said she was surprised by her 35
second margin over Laura Probst of Arvada West, 3rd as a freshman a year
ago. Megan rushed the interviews after the race because she had to play in
a club soccer game later in the day. In her debut cross country race
this fall, Megan ran the 7th fastest 5k in Colorado history (17:47).
