Fastest of day: Daniel Avila, Reedley, 16:03 (5k) and Julie Komosinski, Torrey Pines, 18:27.  

Division 1/2: Daniel Avila (Reedley) posted the fastest time of the day out of the Division 1 & 2 race as section rival Jesse Zapata (Madera) and his teammates won a team title for the 2nd week in a row (Crystal Springs - 10/9) over the 5000 meter Cuesta course. Madera won with a low score 38  points. On the Girls side, despite Peninsula placing 3 in the top 5, Torrey Pines won with impressive team grouping in a close 33-42 team score.  Julie Komosinski (Torrey Pines) also posted the fastest time of the day out of the D1-D2 combined race. 

Division 3: Eric Chaves continued his winning ways as he and the St. Francis Lancers won the Venue/Cal Poly Invitational. The Lancers scored 45 as Shafter and a re-vitalized St. Ignatius team (Neil McDonagh returned from his stress fracture) scored 60 points each, with Shafter winning on a 1 point tie-breaker! The Girls side saw the Lancerettes win with 29 points behind Angela Gummow's individual title.
