About the Meet

The Arkansas Track Coaches Association sponsors an all star team each year.

Twenty-five boys and twenty-five girls are chosen to compete against

neighboring states in a cross country meet. We choose the winner from each

of the four classifications and then the next 18 best times on the day of

the state meet. We then choose 3 other at large.

The athletes are given a singlet with Arkansas on the front to run in at the

all star meet. They are allowed to keep the singlet. Regular scoring in

cross country is used except 10 are scored instead of 5.

The meet is held annually at The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville

Cross Country Course. The University of Arkansas hosts the meet.

The head coach for the Arkansas team is Clint Pevril of Mountain Home High

School.
