1. Jill Bell
2. I attend Bellevue high school in Bellevue, Washington. In the
summer I run for a team called Overdrive Track Club.
3. I am going to be a sophomore (10th)
4. I competed in Washington's State highschool track and field
championship meet. I won the
long jump and was second in the 300 hurdle and 4x4oo relay. Also
recently I won the long jump at our J.O. Regional track meet and there I set
a
new National record in the Intermediate age group (15-16)
5. My best in the long jump is now 20ft 3 inches.
6. I am feeling nervous, but I'm also excited and looking forward to
this great experience.
7. I like getting the chance to compete against different athletes
around the nation.
8. I hurt my knee last summer before the Junior Olympics in Seattle,
Washington. I had to go through therapy, but I was able to win in the
long jump. I also play varsity basketball for Bellevue in the winter.
9. I have worked a little bit harder and practiced more on
perfecting my event.
10. To be successful in track and field things don't always just come
easy,
one needs to work hard to get great results. But track is also fun, so I
enjoy it.
