Women's Hammer
Pictures and commentary by Doug Speck
Maureen Griffin, now at University of Arizona after
blazing the early trail in the event at this level as an Idaho prep, won
for the third year in a row, with her 191-09 just short of her seasonal
best of 194-04. Melissa Houston of Rutgers was next at 185-08, a
lifetime best, with prep Katherine Johnstone of Rhode Island one of high
school history's longest throws ever in third at 169-01. |
