4:02.7 prep Miler Andy Powell headlined the field
here. Super Texas prep Tommy Bonn (4:09.13 mile) led early on, with a
casual 63.5 400 split. After a 2:07 800 meter split Mr. Powell had
enough of the casual pacing, moving past and taking Bonn along with him.
Powell cranked lap three at just under 60 seconds to come by at 3:07
through the 1200, with a 57.3 final 400 to close off his 3:49.81 win
over Bonn's 3:52.65 in second. |
