1999 Mount Saint Joseph 4th Annual Track & Field Invitational
The meet will be held on March 27, 1999 @ 9:00 a.m. The first events
will start exactly at 9:00 a.m. (rain or shine). The track facilities
will be available at 8:00 a.m. with the first call for the discus and
4x800 meter relay at 8:45 a.m.
The meet is open to boys and girls varsity teams, but as you will note
entries are limited to no more then two athletes in the 100, 200, 400,
110 high hurdles and 300 meter hurdles. Three athletes may be entered
in the 800, 1600, 3200 meters and the field events. All races will be
contested as finals except the 100 and 200 meters. They will be run in
heats with the winners and the next two best times advancing to the
finals. All relay races will be finals with only one relay team per
school.
Starting height in the boys high jump will be 5', pole vault 8',
girls high jump 4', pole vault 6'.
The field events will contested as finals. There will be a one hour
time limit on field events, You must complete the event in the time
frame of the event. Three attempts, no finals, best performance wins.
Team Trophies( boys and girls) will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
place schools.
Medals will be awarded to the top three individuals and relay teams in
each event.
The meet is open to all schools interested. There will be a $100.00
entry fee for coed schools and a $50.00 for single team entries. There
will be a $2.00 admission fee for spectators. Refreshments will be
available throughout the day.
