Reedley Invitational

This Central Section Meet featured a couple of state leading  efforts.  

The saga of Gabriel Zarate, who has leaped as high as  7-02 during his prep 

career but never made it to the state meet,  continues, as his transfer from Selma 

(yikes!!! he would have  made them one of the best small school teams in 

state history had  he stayed there) to Parlier was contested.  He was declared  

ineligible three weeks ago, then eligible under special  circumstances this 

week.  He celebrated with a 6-11.25 clearance,  with hopes that this talented 

young athlete will make it to state  once at least during his high school 

career.      

The Carano twins, Kevin (48-10) and Kyle (48-07) moved back  atop the 

State listings in the Triple Jump with their efforts  here.
