General Information

Duelling Meets - comparisons of results at Boston and Columbus.   Caution: Use with Care.  Boston had one of the finest indoor tracks in the country at Reggie Lewis Center, a raised and banked Mondo oval.  Columbus had an older flat and uneven surface.  Also, competition in individual events, which breeds faster times,  was closer in one venue or the other.
Winner Chart -- Comparison of winning marks at the two meets shows Boston ahead in 21 events and Columbus 19.   Too close to call.
Watch Out, Boston -- New York track man John Moriello "scored" the two meets and says Columbus came surprisingly close for a first effort.  "The Boston folks had better get their act together soon or they're going to be toast in 2000."
Boston Had More Depth -- Eric Furst compares 15th place marks.
