THE nike INDOOR CLASSIC

Presented by The National Scholastic Sports Foundation

Saturday March 13 & Sunday March 14, 1999

French Field House, The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio

 

ELIGIBILITY Full-time students in grades 9-12 who are eligible for their high school team and/or any high school athlete born SEPTEMBER 1, 1979 or later, and who have met the entry standards, are eligible to compete. (NOTE: Exceptions may be made for athletes in lower grades.)
SANCTION This an open meet and is sanctioned by USATF and governed by USATF rules. It is NOT sanctioned by any high school federation as it is contested after the official high school indoor season in most states.
USATF Card For insurance purposes, every athlete competing in the Nike Indoor Classic MUST have a USATF card. Please obtain one from your local USATF office. If you don’t know the address/phone number, please call the National USATF office, 317-261-0500. They will help you. The cards WILL BE CHECKED at meet registration. Should you not have a card, they will be available at registration but expect a considerable
delay. Be smart, get it NOW. 
MEET HQ Holiday Inn "Inn on the Lane" (614.294.4848), 328 West Lane Ave., located 100 meters from French Field House. The Holiday Inn offers special rates ($89 any size room) and an ideal location.

These preferred hotels offer special discounted rates. To obtain these rates, you MUST mention the
nike  INDOOR CLASSIC. IMPORTANT: Rates are guaranteed on reservations made prior to March 1, 1999.
ENTRY INFO (Go to ENTRY FORM for a blank form)

Individual Events (including pentathlon):
$25 per event

Relays: $80 per relay (4 X $20) (All-star relays are unacceptable).

PRE-ENTRY: postmarked by Monday, February 22, 1999 and may be in the form of check or money order. 

LATE ENTRY: RECEIVED by Tuesday, March 2, 1999 and accompanied by $15 per event late fee -- MUST be in the form of a money order or bank check.

SUPER LATE ENTRY:  RECEIVED by Monday, March 8, 1999 and accompanied by a $25 per event late fee (except for those with state meets the weekend of March 6-7, 1999, in which case ONLY the LATE FEE above applies); it must be in the form of a money order or bank check. 

NO MEET-DAY ENTRIES.

Entries MUST be accompanied by fees PAID-IN-FULL, INCLUDING LATE FEES.  Make check or money orders payable to "NSSF".  Your cancelled check is your receipt.
