Smithsburg 4-way

SMITHSBURG MD, 9/17/97 - North Hagerstown boys and Smithsburg girls won a 4-way meet over the 5k course at Smithsburg High School.

Chris Pereschuk paced the Hub boys in 17:42.2, while Angie Rhoderick of Boonsboro was the best girl in 21:31.8.

North Hagerstown's top rated performers in the meet were not a factor. Mike Lum dropped out after a mile with a sore achilles tendon, and Kari McCarty had an injury and did not run.
