Spiked Shoe Invitational
BALTIMORE MD, 9/13/97 -- Walt Whitman boys and Quince Orchard girls took the team titles and Brad Einboden and
Kelly Coogan won the individual races in the Spiked Shoe Invitational over a 3.1 mile course at Johns Hopkins University.
Whitman boys were an easy winner, but the Quince Orchard girls just nosed out Good Counsel, 85-89.
Einboden finished in 16:46, 10 seconds ahead of Tekia Amlesom of West Potomac (VA) and 26 seconds ahead of Davy
Rogers of Richard Montgomery.
Former Harford County Track Club teammates Coogan and Kacie Remeto continued their friendly rivalry in the girls
race. Coogan, of C. Milton Wright, won the race for the second straight year in 19:21, 18 seconds ahead of Remeto,
who is a freshman at McDonough.
