DAY 3: Sheldon Hutchinson of Gaithersburg sets new state triple jump record at 49-6.75 to win duel with Penn Relays champion Keith Jenkins (47-2);  Ato Modibo doubles in 21.27 and 46.33; Other new state records - Joel Brown, Woodlawn, 14.07 (3A) and 37.33; Katie Bolac, Gaithersburg, pole vault 10-6 (tie); Natalie Dye, PV, 10-0 (Class 2A). Team Champions - GIRLS: 1A Smithsburg, 2A Long Reach, 3A Douglass-PG, 4A Eleanor Roosevelt. BOYS: 1A Oakland Mills, 2A Fort Hill, 3A Woodlawn, 4A Gaithersburg. 

DAY 2: Chris Smith of Long Reach breaks one of the oldest Maryland state records by long jumping 24-4; Middletown freshman Greg McCormick (6-6) leads 20-point score in high jump by edging teammate Derek Dye (6-6) on fewer misses, with Steve Hanson (6-2) fifth; see first day results for class 1A and 2A.

DAY 1: Ato Modibo DQ'd from 100 trials for false start; K C Allen and Erin Nett raise girls pole vault record to 10-6; Eleanor Roosevelt girls set new 4x200 record (1:41.19), breaking Meade's 1982 record by more than a second; Tuan Wreh doubles (6-6 and 23-1.25); Gaithersburg boys, Eleanor Roosevelt girls take early 4A leads; 3A team races balanced; see 3A detailed results and 4A detailed results.
