BOYS
Kyle Farmer, Oakland Mills triple state meet 1A champion; 20th
overall in the 100 meters (10.9h), 19th overall in the 200 (22.40), 15th
overall in the 400 (49.56).
Greg McCormick, Middletown State meet champion first time out of the box in
2A high jump and tied for second in Maryland overall (6-6); national AAU 15-16 Junior
Olympics decathlon champion.
Stephen Hayes, Churchill eighth overall in the 3200 meters (9:48.90)
Jerod Void, Surrattsville eighth overall in the 110 hurdles (14.68) and 15th
overall in the 300 hurdles (40.10)
Dan Spadacino, Walkersville 20th overall in pole vault (11-6)
GIRLS
Randy Buzzell, Middletown State 2A champion in the 1600 (5:07.80, WMD 1, MD
3), following up on her state cross country championship last fall. Also ranked in the
3200 (11:19.46, WMD 1, MD 6) and 800 (2:20.8, WMD 2, MD 12).
Lee McDuff, River Hill beat Buzzell in the state 2A 3200 and first in the
state overall (10:59.48, US 71) as the only girl under 11 minutes for the season; second
to Buzzell and fourth overall in the 1600 (5:09.35); looks like McDuff and Buzzell have
started a 4-year rivalry.
Lori Ashton, McDonough 5th overall in the high jump (5-4).
April Butler, Gwynn Park 12th overall in the 400 (58.0h).
Jennifer Spivey, Thomas Johnson 17th overall in the 200 (25.6h).
Erin Gaeng, Thomas Johnson 21st overall in the 400 (59.2h).
Onyachi Chuku, Largo 10th overall in the 300 hurdles (46.2h).
Eva Tukarski, Arundel 18th overall in the 300 hurdles (47.0h)
Brittany Tesla, North Hagerstown 23rd overall in high jump (5-1).
Cammie Davis, Middletown 23rd overall in high jump (5-1) and 20th
overall in discus (102-6).
Sam Stambaugh, FSK 22nd overall in discus (101-0).
