Final 1998 season rankings, with all of the big summer meets included, are now posted to the DyeStat Elite Rankings.  Separate listings are available for USA, Maryland, and Western Maryland.  The rankings run 100-deep for USA, 25-deep for Maryland and 12-deep for Western Maryland.  The Maryland and Western Maryland lists show how the leaders ranked in the world beyond their borders.

The highest ranking freshmen in 1998 in the USA, Maryland, and Western Maryland.
The best HS teams were: Long Beach CA Wilson girls and The Woodlands TX boys, according to Andy Ferrara's High School Track Team Power Rating system.  Andy is the track coach at Houston TX Eisenhower and was an assistant on the United States World Junior team.
