The course at Blue Lake Regional Park is wide-open and picturesque, making for an exciting cross country experience for both athletes and spectators.  The race course is relatively flat, and utilizes grass throughout the 5000m.  The footing is good over the entire 5000m, which allows athletes to achieve a desired finishing time.

Awards will be presented, Nike give-a-ways will be distributed, and a pasta feed will be available for all athletes and coaches.  Trophies will be presented to the top five teams in all Varsity races, and medals will be awarded to the top ten individuals in all Varsity races.  A Nike-sponsored Olympic athlete will be in attendance to present awards throughout the afternoon.  This promises to be a memorable experience for all involved!

The Nike/Jim Danner Invitational has rooms reserved at the Courtyard Marriott (Clackamas Town Center), which is located within 10-15 minutes of Blue Lake Park and Portland International Airport.  Room rates range from $79.00 - $89.00, and include a continental breakfast.  To make a reservation, call Krista Eldridge at 503-353-3564.
