Mobile athletes test themselves against national stars each year. This year, three Mobile boys are in two of the best events -- 400 and triple jump. From left, Leflore Mobile sr Brandon Spradley, who was 4th at Nike Indoor Nationals in 49.83; McGill Toolen jr Phelon Jones, winner of the triple jump here last year at 49-7.5; and UMS Wright jr Brandon Gibson, 4th in the triple jump here last year at 47-4.5.

Boys

Karjuan Williams ran the 4th fastest indoor 800 ever (1:50.74) at Simplot. He will run the 400 here.

Jordan Scott was third at Nike Indoor Nationals at 17-0

Trey Harts won the NSIC 200m in 21.09, US#4 all time

Evander Wells was second at NSIC in both 60m (6.79) and 200m (21.45)

Girls

In the Gwinnett County GA Championships last week, Collins Hill jr Jackie Drouin (right) and Meadowcreek Norcross jr Brittany Hall duelled in the 800 with Hall winning, 2:13.35 to 2:14.43. Hall doubled in the 400 (56.05) and will run the 800 here. Drouin won the 1600 (4:59.24) and will run the 2-mile here,.
Eighth grader Cory McGee of Pass Christian MS beat her elders in the NSIC mile in New York City 3 weeks ago, finishing first in a time of 4:49.32. She is entered in the 800 here.	Chamblee GA soph Emily Reese finished 15th at Foot Locker cross country national finals in San Diego in December. She will run the mile here.
