  • Mile - A fine group competes for the automatic invitation to the Millrose Games mile
    • Bellport NY jr Brittany Sheffey, in her fourth year pounding the Armory oval, leads the country this season at 1000 meters (2:54.39 at Bishop Loughlin).
    • Bay Shore NY sr Lauren Schmidt, winner of the Bishop Loughlin 2-mile (10:47.38 US#1)
    • Suffern NY sr Kara McKenna, second to Schmidt in Bishop Loughlin 2-mile (10:52.26)
    • Saratoga NY soph Hannah Davidson, mainstay of US#2 cross country team.
    • North Shore NY 8th grader Brianna Welch , second to Sheffey in Bishop Loughlin 1000m (2:57.88 US#2).
    • JFK Bellmore sr Meagan Krifchin, winner of the Brown mile (5:05.10).
    • Carmel NY soph Kristin Reese, a 4:57.27 indoor miler last year as the Hispanic runner-up.
    • In the second section -- Bay Shore NY freshman Sarah McCurdy, Brown 500m winner in 1:16.70 US#1.

    • Cardozo NY soph Dalilah Muhammad is US#1 at 600 meters (1:34.37) on her Bishop Loughlin win.
    • Owings Mills MD soph Elan Hilaire, 54.06 as a freshman last year, and 40.02 300m runner-up finish this year in Bishop Loughlin meet.
    • Winslow NJ sr Krystal Cantey, Nike Outdoor 400H champ last June (56.33); defending New Jersey indoor champ, and Bishop Loughlin 300m winner this year (39.32 US#2).
    • Three Maryland sprinters -- Kesha Jamison and Chanell Smiths of Eleanor Roosevelt MD's perennial powerhouse squad, and Shalaiyah Sommerville of Western Baltimore.

    • Bay Shore NY sr Lauren Schmidt, winner of the Bishop Loughlin 2-mile in US#1 time (10:47.38) - also entered in the mile.
    • Warwick Valley NY sr Aislinn Ryan, who won the 3000 here last year, is favored; she won the 2004 Foot Locker Cross Country national championship and was 3rd last month in the 2005 FLCCC.
    • Saratoga Springs NY sr Lindsey Ferguson, winner of the Brown mile in US#1 time (4:53.80), ace of the US#2 cross country team, and 22nd at Foot Locker national finals.
    • Shelby Greany of Suffern NY, a Foot Locker finalist (38th) as a freshman.

    • Bloomfield CT soph Stacey-Ann Smith, winner of New Haven Invitational in 7.04 US#3.
