Kyle Anderson AZ 23-8.75 text by Pete Cava Unheralded Kyle Anderson sailed 23-8.75 on his first attempt and the mark stood up for first place.  The 5-11, 170-pound senior from Dobson High School in Mesa, Ariz., outdistanced Lamont Savage (Spencer, NC) and Terry Prentice (Pomona, CA). Savage had a best of 23-4 while Prentice, the runnerup in Saturday’s pentathlon, went 23-4.   “It was a PR,” said Anderson.  “I didn’t think I was going to be able to win, but I pulled through.  It felt real good.”    photo by Vic Sailer / PhotoRun
