Wolmer's Boys JAM 3:12.07 holds off
Poly Long Beach CA 3:12.35 and Dematha MD 3:12.40

Poly Long Beach CA and Dematha MD gave Jamaican champion Wolmer's Boys all they could handle, but Wolmer's held on to win in a photo finish with all three teams within 0.33 second -- Wolmer's 3:12.07, Poly 3:12.35 and Dematha 3:12.40. It was Poly anchor Bryshon Nellum who made the race. Getting the stick in third about 5 meters behind the leader, the brilliant sophomore made up almost all the ground and his lunge at the finish caught Dematha, the fastest qualifier, and just missed catching the winners. Wolmer's held the lead throughout, to the delight of the roaring Jamaican fans in attendance, except for Dematha getting in front for a few strides on the third leg..Dematha's time is a new national Catholic school record.

Anchors turn for home: Tarik Edwards, Wolmer's (C), Jeremy Samuels, Dematha (A) and Bryshon Nellum (B).
