NTN Southwest Rankings - Sep 17, 2004

The NTN regional rankings are the basis of the NTN team selection process. The top two teams in each region at the end of the season will be invited to compete in the Nike Team Nationals in Portland Dec. 4. The third and fourth place teams in each region are considered for the four national at-large selections.

Mountain View wins Autumn Classic by 46 with 16:51 average on hilly 5k. Los Alamos beats pre-season #1 Albuquerque by 21 at U-New Mexico meet with 15:49 3M average. National #2 Smoky Hill scored a perfect 15 in Aurora city meet and faces several ranked teams in this Friday's Liberty Bell invite. Los Alamos wins U-New Mexico meet by 60 with 19:04 3M average. Fremont wins hilly Autumn Classic with 20:05 5k average. Reno runs 1-2-3-7-10 at Reed invite but with big spread.
