The NTN regional rankings are the basis of the NTN team selection process. The top two teams in each region at the end of the season will be invited to compete in the Nike Team Nationals in Portland Dec. 4. The third and fourth place teams in each region are considered for the four national at-large selections.

Marshall wins big again even without top man and is unbeaten with Griak Inv. showdown this Saturday. Liberty wins Rim Rock meet (KS) on challenging course by 96 with 16:52 5k average. West Plains off and close with Liberty in continuing state rivalry. Hopkins wins, Shawnee Mission NW off. St. Louis U. earns ranking with Rim Rock 2nd in deep field. West Plains off. Iowa City West, placing 4 in first 15, remains unbeaten with Rim Rock win by 44 over deep field with 15:50 4k average on tough course. Marquette wins Parkway Centrasl meet with 37 points. Minnetonka defeats Lakeville by 27. Lees Summit No. 2nd to ICW at Rim Rock. Eureka wins Southern Stampede with 19:35 5k average on fast course.
